To give me some diagnosis of why I'm so hollow
Please give me instructions, I promise I'll follow
Once upon a time, a mother whispered secrets of the sea to her child, murmuring of sirens and mermaids that live deep beneath the waves. "mon petit cœur, when you feel lost or afraid, return to the ocean, there you will find a home." The daughter had peered up at her mother, eyes gleaming in the moonlight. "But Momma, how can I get lost if I have you?" the young girl would ask, not receiving a response from her mother, who's eyes had been drawn to the everchanging tides.
Sniffles, hardly heard over the sound of waves crashing against the beach, left the snowy feline as she awoke from her dream, though it was more memory than imagination. She rose to a seated position, wiping quickly at her face as she gathered herself and her thoughts. Once she had finally calmed, she decided that she wouldn't be able to sleep again anytime soon. Her mind was too full of turmoil and a walk may do her good.
Leaping down from the rock she had deemed her bed that night, she huffed as paws hit soft sand. A soft noise left her as she stretched her body, the last remnants of sleep leaving her. After a moment of standing there looking around, she began to trudge forward, aimlessly walking down the beach. To an onlooker, her pace would seem sluggishly slow, tail leaving a trail in the sand behind her as she kept her eyes to the ground, unfocused.
