It was a warm morning in the Typhoon, but not quite a normal one. Should anyone be near the shore where visitors regularly appeared, they would smell something sweet drifting across the beach. Furthermore, should they investigate it, they might find a colorful - but primarily indigo - dragon shaking salty water from her body, and cursing quietly at the lapping waves. A sight to behold, really.

Her indigo scales were accented by several colors. A pair of small, pink, and glossy wings were folded to her sides. A long, candy-cane striped tail was twitching from side to side behind her. Her body was dotted and speckled with shiny, colorful lumps. On top of it all, she smelled like candy. Very strongly of candy. Was that an underlying hint of peppermint?

The sugary reptile turned away from the water, showing yet another odd detail about herself: her belly. It was... dripping? No, not dripping water. It looked almost like jelly. What a weirdo.

She strode up the slope, pausing to look up at the large gate that now stood before her. This was supposedly the place with the pirates. Parting her jaws, she called out, "Hey, anybody out there? I feel pretty lost right now."

The scent of sweets got Raiden’s attention, and it immediately made him reverse his desired path. He walked in the direction of the smell, tail swaying ever-so-slightly, taking in that tasty aroma. Peppermint was his favorite thing! What was this that smelled so strongly of his favorite candy? What the hell?

He couldn’t believe his eyes as he finally saw what the source of the smell was. A dragon. Or... lizard thing? It had to be a dragon, right? Or was he being deceived? Hm...

Then it spoke and nearly startled him, making the large Hellhound-dragon stumble on his paws like a big dumb idiot and a gasp could almost be heard from him. God- it spoke! He was startled for a second, then laughed as he approached closer to her.

“Hi, miss! This is the Typhoon’s territory. What’s your name? You smell sweet! Is that real peppermint? Can I lick you?”

Somebody better help this dumb of ass.

Michael had no idea how to react to whatever the hell had just begun coming down the shoreline. When he had emerged from his hut that morning to go visit Roxie, he had figured he would be greeted by the usual sights of the Typhoon. Children, drunkards, his friends... but no, instead he saw... some kind of candy dragon? That was the only way he could describe Gamelia, even if having thought in that head absolutely made him feel as though he was going crazy. He hesitated before padding up beside Raiden, opening his mouth to greet the strange newcomer, only to hear Raiden's last comment. Can I lick you? The thief looked over at Raiden with a wide and confused stare, wondering what the hell kind of person would ask such a thing. Trevor, maybe, but probably only when he was high. Was Raiden high, or just stupid? Either way, Michael frantically found himself scrambling to follow up, "Uh, he's joking. Obviously. That would be... really weird. Uh, so yeah, like he said, you're wanderin' around on the territory of the Typhoon. We can help you out if we know your name, and maybe what you're here for." She said that she was lost, but perhaps she had some sort of purpose before she ended up lost here? They could help her, in that case.

Snowy white ears perked at the sound of voices carrying from the beach, interrupting the felines walk. She began to follow the sound of speech, a smile softening her face at the sweet smell that began to fill the air. And oh, it came from the same direction as the voices!

The snowy feline quickened her pace, hoping to find something to satiate her sweet tooth. The voice in the back of her head reminded her that she couldn't eat real food anymore but, she told it to shove off. She'd deal with the sickness later if it meant enjoying a sweet treat.

What her eyes laid upon was certainly not what she expected as she laid eyes upon the purple dragon, eyes skimming down the candy cane striped tail. This was certainly... something. Brows furrowed at Raiden's comment, a snort leaving her. "Howdy there! I'm Diya! What's your name?" she asked, attempting not to get caught marveling. at the wonderful shade of purple that covered the dragon.

She couldn't say she was expecting a response to her call so quickly, much less from more than one local. When the first made himself known immediately after her inquiry, his gasp was met with one of her own. Gamelia's head whipped around to face the draconic canine, and she paused to take in his appearance. She took a deep breath to let her startled heart settle.

With a smile, seemingly unfazed by the abnormal question, the sugary reptile didn't have enough time to reply before an awkward stammering feline quickly spoke instead. Joking? He had seemed particularly earnest to her. Gamelia chuckled and gestured at the hellhound. "It's quite alright. Come over here, canine. You may try some if you'd like. It doesn't bother me at all." Then, weirder still, she looked down and popped one of the colorful dots off of her arm. A red one, specifically. "It's sugar, and it pops up all over. It'll disappear quickly once I take them off, though, so eat quickly. I would appreciate if you refrain from licking me, however."

Her gaze then swiveled back to the dark bobcat. "So this is the Typhoon, then?" she said, almost to herself. "That's good, I was searching for this place. Heard it was quite nice here! I haven't had much company in a while." She offered another smile. "My name's Gamelia. Gamelia Baker. Pleased to make your acquaintance."

The dragon trailed off as the white cat, the third newcomer, strode over. Goodness, her fur looked quite soft. "Well howdy to you too, Diya," she replied with a laugh. "The name's Gamelia Baker. I was hoping to become a resident of this place."

Diya couldn't help but stare, mind scrambling as the grandmother simply popped off a piece of what, her candy? That was odd to thing and probably would be ever worse to say. Frankly, the feline didn't think she would ever catch herself saying that outloud.

Sugar that dissapeared within a few minutes hm? Something in Diya grew curious, wondering if perhaps that would be the perfect solution to her newest eating problem. Which, certain was a problem because she hadn't eaten in roughly two weeks. While she knew that she only needed roughly an oz of her... diet a week, she had nothing. Alas, that is a problem for a different time.

"it's a pleasure to meet you, Gamelia! I'd say welcome to the group but, frankly, I don't think I'm allowed," she would purr with amusement, chuckling. She technically didn't live here, was simply a visitor who had come to drop off a wayward child and hadn't left yet. "One of these other two may be able to, though!"

Raiden had the most bewildered expression on his face as the candy dragon nonchalantly entertains his curiosity by addressing him specifically, and once he had come a bit closer, he watched as she just popped one of the pieces of her body off like a painless pimple. What in the blue blazes? His expression now was a mix of the same bewilderment as before, but with a strong curiosity, and amazement.

He almost completely ignored what she was saying about the pieces of candy as he was taken aback by whatever the fresh hell just happened, and was given a red dot. Hm... something about it just being sugar, and disappearing quickly once she took it off...?

The hybrid already placed the treat in his mouth, and sure enough, it was sugar. But just as soon as he was about to swallow, the taste was gone, as well as any trace of it. He looked at the ground, downright confused and zoned out, wondering if he was just high as shit or if this was real life right now. He picked back up on what was being said within a few minutes though, with his ears perking  up as Diya said something regarding him or Michael.

“I, uh... yeah. Welcome to the group, sugar...?” He was baffled at everything Gamelia was, and hadn’t even caught on to what he just said, didn’t even process it. He was fixated on the sugar that literally just fucking disappeared as he was about to finish eating it with no rhyme or reason to it. To none of this, really. By the laws of nature this shouldn’t even be a thing.

But it was.

“Thank you, ma’am. Um, I’m Raiden... welcome to the Typhoon...”

He was having an existential crisis.

Gamelia watched with quiet interest as the hellhound seemed to have no hesitation in accepting the candy and popping it in his mouth. (Most were a little hesitant to try it, and she didn't blame them). In the short time he sucked on it, he seemed content, but the bewildered look that spread across his face made her laugh. Every time- it was priceless.

Wiping at her eyes, she said, "You'll need to be faster next time. Take as many as you'd like." She would never run out, sometimes to her annoyance. They could appear in rather inconvenient places. She was constantly pulling them off of her hands and feet, like an incessant pebble in the shoe.

The dragon looked back to Diya as she spoke. "Not allowed?" she echoed. What an odd thing. Another head turn returned her gaze to the dog - Raiden, as she was informed - as he spoke out again, this time seeming to trip on his words. Still caught up on the sugar? "Well, nice to meet you, Raiden," she returned. "Thank you very much!"

Well, wasn't this encounter just... weird as hell. Michael watched as Gamelia let Raiden have one of the mounds of – candy, he supposed? – littering her body. He then watched as Raiden popped it into his mouth, the bobcat wincing slightly. Didn't he have any sense of self preservation? What if those things were poisonous, and Gamelia had given him one just for the hell of it? In fact, when Raiden's expression turned from pleased to bewildered, the thief thought for a moment that was exactly what had happened. However, when Raiden didn't immediately drop dead, the fugitive allowed himself to relax, sighing. None of this situation was remotely normal, but at least he didn't have to go and tell Goldie one of their new joiners were dead from poisoned body candy. Refocusing his attention back on Gamelia herself, Michael shifted his dark paws before he shrugged, saying nonchalantly, "I suppose you're allowed in. Nobody is really all that strict around here about who can get in, as long as you're not a complete scumbag... it's uh, nice to meet you. My name's Michael. Michael De Santa. I think... I think I'm good on the whole candy thing. No offense." In the past, the bobcat had never been one to turn down a sweet treat, especially with his enormous sweet tooth after escaping from his father. However, he just didn't really feel right eating a sweet that had come off of somebody.
