APPEARANCE.
✧ matcha tea red fox (ref.) | health: 100% | birth/current body
— in terms of appearance, silvertides looks much different from your average red fox. instead of the usual red, black, and brown palette of colors that cover most red foxes, silver has a pelt that is a mix of a sandy white and light green. thanks to an evolutionary mutation, silver was born with a pelt that would more easily blend into the sandy shores and thick greenery of his homeland. his base pelt is a cream white color, and he has light green on his front paws, the upper arch of his head and ears, and the tip of his tail. his tail is bushy and thick, and he has a dark green leaf pattern on both his tail and his spine. his eyes are a very light grey that practically borders on white, and he is rather physically weak. he has the average body of a red fox, but is a little on the smaller side, his size is just bolstered with very thick fur.

— above all things, silver is extremely introverted. born to a family that was mostly feral, silver never really had any opportunities to learn impressive social skills. because of this, he has a tendency to have his head up in the clouds, being hardworking but boyish in a way that may make him seem naive. he has a tendency to "follow the leader," and while he tries his best to be amiable and cooperative in all scenarios, he also has a darker side as well. thanks to having little effective social skills, silver also has a tendency to be very blunt and sarcastic. once he becomes close to others, he becomes very sarcastic around them, using his advanced smarts and witty nature to bring things he wants to life. overall, he needs a push to get there, but can be extremely willful when he wants to be.

MISC.
✧ born to two red foxes named merrde and ryonti, it was clear from the very beginning that silvertides hammer was very different. for one thing, there was his appearance. despite his parents possessing the usual red fox colors, silver instead possessed a pelt of green and white, with elegant leaf like designs that allowed him to blend into the thick trees and sandy white shores that they lived in. however, the more prominent difference was his intelligence. merrde and ryonti – along with silver's siblings – were mostly feral, only able to communicate in grunts and barks and very simple phrases. meanwhile, silver was extraordinarily intelligent, fitting in more with the loner groups that had come together in the surrounding areas. despite this, silver's parents took good care of him, treating him as kindly and as lovingly as they could. unfortunately, silver still felt foreign when compared to his family, and ultimately ended up taking his full name, silvertides, as a clumsy mashing together of two of the first words he learned from loners. although silver stayed with his family until he was around 10 months old, the levels of separation between them grew too much for him to bear, and he eventually left his family, bidding them farewell to go and explore the loner lands. eight more months passed of the fox exploring on his own, expanding his knowledge and vocabulary and eventually taking on the surname hammer, to signify his advanced growth from his former family.
✧ in his travels, silver ended up being told many stories about the larger groups all around, and eventually chose to try joining one, figuring that perhaps he could find his purpose there. he chose the pitt because, despite the many vicious stories he had heard about the desert dwelling group, he had also heard they were suffering, and needed assistance thanks to their low and young population. he has been around the group for a month now, but has been laying low, mainly due to his own social anxiety about how others will interact with him. however, he was finally drawn from his self isolation when a young typhooner, roan, showed up near his den in a panic, collapsed and begging for assistance and shelter within the pitt.
✧ has a great fascination with human media and history, particularly comic books, mainly deadpool.
— his deadpool themed collar was a novelty item retrieved from an abandoned comic book store from when he was a loner. through searching the comic book store, he became infatuated with the deadpool comics, and chose the surname hammer over the character of jack "weasel" hammer from those same comics.
