Izuku's slumped position perks up a little at the positive response. He generally wasn't all that fond of speaking up in group events, if only because of the overwhelmingly negative responses he'd generally get. But, well, that didn't exactly stop him these days, but it did leave him a little hesitant at times.
The little maine coon's ears twitch as he takes in Jacob's explanation(lecture, really) on cobwebs and bandages. It takes a few seconds for him to really understand what is being said, as it gets a little muddled in his ears for a moment. He has to take a brief moment to dissect what's being said in his head before he understands. It really is interesting, Izuku thinks as he attempts to internalize the knowledge. At least he won't have to waste as many bandages, now -- he'd raided enough first aid supplies to have a good stock of them, but they wouldn't last forever.
Izuku doesn't make any attempts to speak or ask any questions, now. He's just ... silent, head tilted in curiosity as he  watches Jacob pull out some stuff animals. And some bandages. It's very puzzling, up until Jacob explains what he's supposed to do. Interesting. Probably not the greatest test subjects, but more risk-free than anything else.
Izuku nods, and moves forwards to gently take a stuffed leopard in his jaws. He shuffles backwards slightly, though not very far, and awkwardly edges the bandage roll towards him with a paw before settling back down. Izuku glances around, and can't help the spark of anxiety he feels when he realizes that he's one of the only ones participating. Everyone else is just there to watch, or learn, or whatever else, so they're just sort of gonna ... watch him. He struggles a few moments to swallow down his stage fright before he manages to get back to the task at hand.
After a long few moments of thinking, Izuku decides to wrap the leg. That didn't seem too daunting, at least. Izuku mentally reviews the steps in his head, nose scrunching as he balances himself to hold the bandages between his paws. After a second, Izuku starts to roll the bandage around the little plushie's leg, just a little under where the dewclaw would be. He goes up from there, and his tongue sticks out slightly as he attempts to keep the bandaging tight, but also somewhat loose. It's ... a little harder to do on something so small. Still, after a long, grueling minute, Izuku withdraws as he clumsily ties the bandage, just beneath the elbow. (he wasn't any good at joint bandaging, despite all attempts, so he hadn't even tried.) It looks -- mostly right. It was kind of lumpy and off-center, but it was passable, at least.

WHAT A PRIVILEGE IT IS TO LOVE — Jacob watched as Izuku moved forward and selected his stuffed animal before taking some bandages and starting to wrap it. Noticing the boy's anxiousness, he offered a light smile of support. "'S alright, you're doin' jus' fine," he assured him. He remained silent as he watched how he wrapped it. He had to admit that the stuffed animals weren't perfect subjects but it was better than someone tying it a little too tight or somehow accidentally hurting one of their clanmates. It was unlikely but it was better to be as safe as possible. Besides, this way he could just take the bandages back and put them away rather than washing them. With how little resources there were in Snowbound, he couldn't afford to be wasting any during training or even this little presentation on it's own.

When the boy finished, Jacob moved forward to examine the bandages a little closer before he spoke up, "This looks real nice. 'S a li'l lumpy but honestly this is harder than wrappin' a normal paw or somethin', with how soft n' tiny it is. Usually you'll be dealin' with things a lot bigger n' a lot less squishy." He quickly unwrapped the bandage and stuck it back in his bag. "Alrigh', so I only got one more thing 'm gonna' ask ya'll for now. If someone's really gotta' have some herbs for some reason, what'll ya' do if they won' take it 'cause it don' taste good or 'cause i's makin' them real nervous?" There was more to being a healer than just knowing how to use herbs and tools, after all. Jacob was confronted every single day with people that didn't want to take herbs or didn't want him to look at them. There wasn't much he could do about the situation, as forcing someone to do something usually didn't end well for him, but there were ways he could make the process a little easier.  —A GREAT HONOR TO HOLD YOU UP

Izuku had never done terribly well in crowds, honestly. He'd been frequently mocked for his interests and even minor failures when he was younger, so he could never really shake of the feeling that they were all judging him behind his back. His ability to perform in front of people was ... incredibly selective, in all honesty. Luckily, he's only having minor troubles here, and the assurance really does help, as Izuku's tail stills just the slightest in its honestly non-stop movement.
"The squishiness did make it kind of hard," Izuku admits, grinning sheepishly. He hadn't really wanted to tighten the bandage on the plush's paw too much, and so he'd -- definitely overcompensated. He's sure healers probably treat animals this small occasionally, though, just not terribly squishy -- by this, he means children. Very small, very accident prone, just hopefully not to a terrible degree. His tail twitches as he listens to Jacob continue on to explain what he'd do next -- and last, apparently. Somebody resisting treatment. He'd met plenty of people like that -- Izuku didn't claim that he'd ever responded terribly well. He hadn't treated many people, under five, really, but they were all stubborn. He snapped at a few of them. Uncharacteristic of him, and also not doctor material.
"It depends on the person, I guess," Izuku decides rather unnecessarily, tipping his head. He really wasn't good with people, so he imagines it'd be very difficult for him, but -- well, he could do some 'in theory' ideas, at least. I mean, it was pretty standard stuff -- especially the thing about foul-tasting medicine. That was something you'd probably do for a sick friend. Though, Izuku hadn't ever had many friends, and none of them had gotten sick, so he hadn't exactly put it into practice. And he also might be misinterpreting the next part of the question, but whatever. "You could probably try and make something foul taste sweeter -- honey, maybe? Um, you could probably set somebody at ease by talking them through the steps, and what the medicine does. So that they know exactly what you're doing, and why it's necessary. M-Maybe some conversation and assurance to help them trust you, and keep their mind off of it." Izuku starts off looking somewhat lost, nose scrunched up as the gears turn in his head, but his expression gradually smooths out as he becomes a little more confident. He could deal with nervous or distrustful people -- Izuku had already done that, though the example in question he was thinking of was really skewed, considering the context. And also that he hadn't treated said patient/former classmate for like, half an hour. That was a long time to let burns fester. Whoops.
