//partially a meet and greet - feel free to suggest any kinda name (and feel free to call him whatever name you want in other threads)

After Selby and the... others (Did any of them actually tell him their names, or did he have a serious memory problem?) treated his wound and explained the whole Tanglewood thing, he was lead to camp by a late appearing NPC, who showed him around a bit of the town. Compared to the forest, the town was... actually really nice. Big, but nice. He was expecting broken buildings and scary stuff. It still was kinda run down, but he was told that it was drastically improved since a year ago.

He'd received several curious looks from NPCs bustling around the town, but like he'd been told, they weren't going to hurt him. At least, he hoped so. Maybe he would go find a home for himself soon, but until then, he needed to introduce himself, right? That was a normal thing, hopefully.

His head was still sore and his body still felt alien and strange, but he managed to hobble his way over to a small pile of rocks off to the side of the main clearing. Scrabbling with spindly legs he managed to climb to the top. It was only afterward that he realized he could have used his wings, but he was unsure whether or not he remembered how to fly.

Looking around nervously, he called out, bringing some NPCs to stop and stare. "Um... hello? I'm, uh- well, I don't know my name, I can't remember, but I'm new here, and I'd like to meet all of you!" He paused, then lowered his voice to a mumble. "Well, maybe not all of you... That would be a lot. I think."

[glow=#000,1,400]BUT NOW I UNDERSTAND YOU, AND I WILL NOT BE PART OF YOUR DESIGNS — 。+゚.[/glow]
Wormwood very often had a habit of forgetting just how large he was compared to certain creatures. For years now, he had been in a pride of lions that had all been vaguely around the same size of him, with only a few of them being a little smaller or larger than him. So now that he was in a group where pretty much any sentient animal could join, he very often forgot how absolutely terrifying that he could be to certain smaller creatures. He had been sharply reminded of that when Bink had ended up showing up to the group, and the moment he had seen Worm he had almost had a heart attack on the spot. Wormwood had felt sort of bad when he had seen fear in the tiny crow's eyes, and he had immediately stepped back when he was told to, to give the guy a little space to breathe and get his head injured treated.

So now, when the crow ended up calling out to meet people, Wormwood had hesitated a bit before finally getting up to his feet and coming over. He stayed a few feet away from the bird, not wanting him to get all freaked out again like last time. Now that he knew that Bink was sentient and not just some sort of injured bird that would make easy prey for eating, he had no intention of hurting the little guy, at least not intentionally.
He held no responsibility if for some reason Bink went firebombing under his paws while he was walking, but he somehow doubted that he would ever do that.

The large lion slowly rolled his shoulders as he thought about what Bink had said, a slow thoughtful rumble leaving him. This guy still didn't remember his name, huh? Well that wouldn't do if Bink wanted to meet everybody. Er, well, mostly everybody. What exactly were they supposed to call him? Just bird? That wasn't very polite. He could think of something slightly better than that, if only slightly better. A soft friendly smile coming to his muzzle, the lion rumbled softly, [glow=#793B29,1,400]"Hello there, little bird. Sorry I frightened you when.you first arrived. I didn't mean to. If you haven't remembered your name yet, perhaps you should come up with a new one? Maybe Avis? It just means bird in Latin. It's pretty simple, but it's fitting. My name is Wormwood, by the way."[/glow]

[align=center][div style="text-align: justify; width: 45%; font-family: arial; font-size: 11pt; letter-spacing: -1px;"]This bird was already so useless. They should have just eaten it. Now it was helpless and small, and Vathmos wondered what the bird's bones would taste like in her mouth. Now it needed a name? How helpless was this creature? Vathmos stood up from her shady spot, creeping towards the bird, that hideous laughter leaving her throat as she padded towards the pair, as a way of alerting them she was coming. A little drool left her mouth as she settled her attention towards the bird. She hummed, "Well, I'm Vathmos. In my language, Bird can be either- Bitrude or Bireda. You could be Boarboya, Titnoya... Many names to call you."

[font=trebuchet ms]Aw, it was a crow. Their sorts was great for eating, mama had always told Reedy, but they were real clever. Catching them was a wild goose chase- er, crow chase- more often than not. Besides, they could be great partners too, especially since gators weren’t really the airborne kind.

The poor fellow didn’t even know his name, either. That was just plumb bad luck, wasn’t it? Reedy wasn’t sure what he’d do without a name. Maybe he could help, though. ”Howdy, I’m Reedwhistle, but ya can just call me Reedy,” he greeted, lumbering up beside Wormwood and fixing his blinkers on the crow.

The others were spouting off names he’d never even heard of; they sounded just right, better than anything he’d got, but he figured he ought to offer up something nonetheless. ”Ah... how ‘bout... ‘Squawker,’” Reedy said finally, with a shake of his head. ”Or somethin’ they said, more like.”

[align=center][div style="text-align:justify;width:55%;font-family:verdana;"]Many names to call you. It seemed like Red wasn't the only one around here without a real name. Or, at least, another who didn't plan on sharing it any time soon. It was that bird again who caught his attention - the little one with the cut on his head, who had neither name nor business on Tanglewood territory yet stayed all the same. Hopefully curiosity wouldn't get the best of the little guy, considering so many Tanglers were eyeing him up for a meal.

"I'm calling you Birdy from here on out, unless something better comes up. We've already got a Crow." None of the suggested names seemed to make that much sense. The crow just seemed so... Normal, at least compared to the rest of them. Red considers something like Josh. Matthew. Derek... No, Birdy would definitely do the job. "Red. Hellboy. Someone called me 'spawn of Satan' once, I think, but it wasn't because they wanted to be friends. I guess anything goes for me, too."

[align=center][div style="width: 55%; text-align: justify; font-family: verdana; font-size: 9pt; line-height: 1.4;"]Feza could be considered a feline that was attracted to the noise of voices. She always came bounding over at the noise of speech, of conversation, of a way to meet new friends and to grow closer to them. With talking came understanding, and with that came a way to know how to throw a party.

"You don't have a name? Oh, that's really sad. What about Squaker? It's almost like 'squawker' but its, it's, it has a different syllable! I think. Not sure." Feza scratched at the side of her fluffy head with a paw. It was a different take on the term 'squawk', for sure. Her head turned a little, Birdy sounded cuter than Squaker. "I'm Feza! It's nice to meet you, whatever name you wind up takin'!"

mikolaj could not reasonably think as to why there was not one single being here acting as though a bird was not food. though it would not nearly be filling enough for himself, this bird was untainted meat. a free meal right in front of them. the shepherd expression dulled every so slightly as it was increasingly obvious they were welcoming this prey as a part of their... family.

"kretyn." if the prey wanted a name, that was his contribution.

[align=center][div style="bgcolor= black; width: 500px; font-family: georgia;font-size:12px;text-align:justify"]Moth had been at the border when the crow was found, and she couldn't help too much then, though hoped to help more in the future. It seemed as though now could potentially be the future, seeing as there was an issue that the small bird wanted to be solved - he needed a name - Moth was good at names. Moth could give a name if he really wanted one, though there wasn't going to be any promises that he would like the name, though hopefully he would. She was hopeful.

Padding over to the small group that was forming around the other, Moth would decide to sit next to Mikolaj, ears pricked as she listened to the names that had already been said, thinking of things for a moment before she decided to open her maw to speak. "What about, uh Flint or, uh Rock?" She would speak, blinking once before her tail waved absently behind her, "Or, uh Bink?"

    //me: gone for a day
    y'all:

He hadn't been expecting to have his call answered in such a great mass. First it was that lion who had been among the first to find him in the forest, seemingly apologetic about appearing hostile at the time. Wormwood, as he was called. The crow tipped his head at the name suggestion. Call himself a different name until he remembered his own? That didn't sound like a bad idea.

As more and more Tanglers began to spout their own names as well as varying names for him, the corvus seemed to shrink into himself. To be frank, most of these names sounded awful or wrong to him, but he didn't know how to deny them. "O-okay," he stammered softly, not answering anybody's suggestion in particular. "Hi." He was more focused on remembering their names. Wormwood was the lion, got it. The scary hyena was... Vathmos, okay.

More and more animals of the predatory type kept appearing, the next being an entire alligator, and he found himself taking a few steps back. Reedy. A very colorful leopard showed next- Freza. Got it. Woodworm- wait, no, Wormwood, Va-Vathmos, Reedy, Red, Freza... Kretyn? Was that his name or another suggestion?

The little crow seemed overwhelmed, eyes flickering from one Tangler to the next, not sure what to say or to whom. At last came the fox, who was the first to find him in the woods. She also began to suggest names, and he pointedly focused on her in an attempt to clear his head. Bink. He froze for a moment, then perked. Bink. Something about that name sounded almost nostalgic. Bink... Bink... he couldn't think of anything. Was a memory tied to that name?

The crow tried to offer something similar to a smile. "I- I think I like that name. Bink." He looked down at the rock below his feet. "Thank you, uh..." Breaking off, he looked back up at her. "What did you say your name was, again? he asked sheepishly.

[align=center][div style="bgcolor= black; width: 500px; font-family: georgia;font-size:12px;text-align:justify"]Listening to the names that everyone had suggested, Moth pricked her ears as she heard the crow's responses to the names, eyes blinking once before nodding her head slightly, a smile on her maw as he decided to go with one of her names. "I'm glad you like it," The small animal would speak, nodding her head suddenly as her eyes widened. "Oh yeah! I forgot to say I guess, my name is Moth."
