[font=trebuchet ms]The summer solstice was fast approaching. Rin couldn't say she wasn't on edge; the growing heat and the knowledge that she was probably about to have another close brush with death would make anyone tense. She had only succeeded against the Huntress because luck had thrown her a bone, which was not likely to happen again. She could potentially benefit from the sun god (assuming it would be the sun god to attack her next) being enraged and unable to think rationally, but that could also make him dangerous. So many "maybes" and "coulds," and no certainties. By now, she'd gotten used to that.
Actually, there was one certainty, but it wasn't related to her main objective: she was sure she had told Tena she would give out weekly tasks yesterday, and she was late.
Walking up to the porch where Tena had called the last assembly, Rin called out, "I'm handing out tasks for the week. Come here if you want one." They didn't even have to ask for one. Anyone who came by was getting a task whether they liked it or not, but she doubted anyone here would be that averse to helping out.
