fancy title here -- weekly tasks 6/17-6/23 - Warringkingdoms - 06-17-2019

[font=trebuchet ms]The summer solstice was fast approaching. Rin couldn't say she wasn't on edge; the growing heat and the knowledge that she was probably about to have another close brush with death would make anyone tense. She had only succeeded against the Huntress because luck had thrown her a bone, which was not likely to happen again. She could potentially benefit from the sun god (assuming it would be the sun god to attack her next) being enraged and unable to think rationally, but that could also make him dangerous. So many "maybes" and "coulds," and no certainties. By now, she'd gotten used to that.

Actually, there was one certainty, but it wasn't related to her main objective: she was sure she had told Tena she would give out weekly tasks yesterday, and she was late.

Walking up to the porch where Tena had called the last assembly, Rin called out, "I'm handing out tasks for the week. Come here if you want one." They didn't even have to ask for one. Anyone who came by was getting a task whether they liked it or not, but she doubted anyone here would be that averse to helping out.

He disliked summer greatly. His white coat helped keep him cool sinc it lacked any darker hues, but that didn't mean he wasn't prone to getting hot. Compared to that of a regular serval's coat, the assassin's was slightly thicker thanks to the genetics that he had inherited from his parents. Killua hadn't exactly been up to much, as nothing really seemed to happen in this place. He needed some form of entertainment so he usually went out to go and explore the other places that were around here. He was able to find Snowbound again, but when he tried to figure out if anyone was around, he couldn't even find a single trace. Maybe everyone that had created the place again had simply died and were no longer going to be found. It was a sad revelation, but he knew that he could come back to Elysium where Stark was and at least have someone that he remembered and treated like family. That didn't take away any of the feeling of guilt that he had after he heard that Snowbound had been destroyed and the possibility that his friends had been killed there clawed at his heart. He needed to be better, as he still believed that this place was his best option for starting out his life. The albino serval recognized the voice, and twitched one of his large ears as he began to make his way over. The young male had just been prepared to go out of camp, so this was good timing. He had done his last weekly task, albeit boring since nothing really happened. Killua came up to the area where Ariside seemed to be, giving a tiger a small nod of his head before looking up at the domestic cat. His snake companion was wrapped around his throat and his metal claws unsheathed, as a means of getting a better grip in the mountanious area. "I got nothing better to do." Killua said with a bored shrug of his shoulders. He really didn't, and it would keep his mind off of the troubles that he was ailing.

[font=trebuchet ms]In retrospect, it occurred to her that she wasn't really that great at coming up with tasks. Most tasks she could think of were tedious things that still ought to be done for practical reasons. Still, she could take care of said tasks, if she took the time, and she could come up with some sort of interesting idea.

Kade was the first to approach. She was the sensible type, at least as far as Rin could tell from their brief, scattered interactions (which, to be fair, was the same amount of interaction she'd had with everyone here). Rin thought for a moment, then said, ”Construct a raft by any means you prefer, and take whoever wants to go out on the water. I have telekinesis, so I can help if need be.”

Next was Killua, who she suspected would be hard to figure out even if she had been actively seeking to make herself at home. Nonetheless, given his penchant for approaching without warning, she did have an idea of sorts. He might not like it, but she was curious to see if he’d do something... creative. ”Teach a class on stealth,” she answered, with a small smirk. ”With or without powers, your choice. Provided no one dies, anything goes.”
