There are many names in history
but none of them are ours.

It had been a while since she'd had any contact with a living creature that wasn't either prey or predator. Nobody had been on equal grounds with her in what felt like forever. It was too long, too long and Lilyspoise wasn't even sure if she would recognize the sound of her own voice.
Initially she had been searching. Searching for her mothers-- faux-mothers. Were they even her mothers anymore? A bitter part of her wondered if the two had found each other and decided yeah, that's enough, we're good. Then again, that was likely born from the fact that she had never known a mother that loved her. Her birth mother only cried out for Lilyspoise's father, and only used her daughter as a pawn. So the idea that her mothers found each other and forgot about her was biased, yes, but it wasn't... completely out of the question.
Then Lil's twin souls just... disappeared. She couldn't tell what happened, or why, but one day during her travels she woke up cold. Cold and empty and she hadn't heard the voices she'd grown to love in ages. She began to wonder if she had made it all up to cope-- she made up mothers that loved her, fabricated versions of herself to act as sisters that she never truly had. It could've all been just a ruse, after all, she had nothing to prove that it wasn't. Just her own word, and that was hardly something to hedge your bets on.
So she threw herself into medicine. She'd always had an affinity for it but she'd been scrappy before. Knowing a couple basics and referencing her own notes. Now she was more well-versed, and in a weird way it gave her a sense of familiarity. A small connection to her past self, a healer then and a healer now. It was the only peace she'd found in weeks; she didn't bother to think about the branch of fate where she didn't. It likely was unsavory-- it likely involved her own death, seeing how many fights she'd endured on her travels.
A long pathway was presented in front of her, water lightly coating the surface. There was a human made object stretching across it, but the smell of humans wasn't present, so this place was either abandoned or someone else's territory.
Which meant that Margaery or Suiteheart could be here.
The path was stupidly long, and only served to give Lilyspoise more time alone with her thoughts, which was the last thing she needed. Her mind flooded with hopes to see her mothers, only for these hopes to be subsequently snuffed out by her own anxieties. It was impossible to light a flame underwater, and her paws were already wet.
Sniffing out what seemed to be a border, she stretched before sitting down, swishing her tail in the water lightly. Giving herself just a moment to observe, she spied what plants she could and began to identify them in her head. Her knowledge on medicine was her only tangible comfort, so it was what she found herself falling to time and time again. It was the only thing she had left, really. However, after a few moments, she cleared her throat and finally spoke.
"If anyone is out there, I've come on peaceful terms. I'm look--" She paused. She wasn't looking for her mothers, not... not anymore. "I'm looking to stay here for a while. I have knowledge on medicine and can repay any debts through that, if needed. I won't simply take up resources and give nothing back, if that is a concern."

this card in the upright position indicates quiet knowledge and wisdom of the unknowable. the high priestess’s inaction is a result of having done all that they can and knowing that the rest is in the universe’s hands. In the reversed position, this card indicates one whose judgement is clouded by stress and uncertainty, always concerned with the lives of others around them.
