[align=center][div style="width: 51%; text-align: justify; font-size: 10pt; letter-spacing: -1px; font-family: georgia;"]//this will Hopefully be her last return thread. its kind of long but self-explanatory
She had a knack for getting herself lost.
But it was the desert's fault, looking the same with it's ever-flowing sand and lack of water. She would have given anything for at least one land mark in the middle of it all. Even though she had gotten used to it a long while ago, she would still admit that she hated living in a desert, especially when she was out on her own like this.
It was hot out, as always. The sun beat down hard, glistening on the vast ocean of gold sand. If she didn't feel like she was dying, she would have thought it was pretty. The scenery was the last thing on her mind, though, her mind too focused on the ache in her shoulder.
As if the desert wasn't dangerous enough with the extreme heat, it also had many predators, namely ones that flew overhead. She couldn't really tell the amount of time that passed, but sometime ago, a large bird had swooped down and dug their claws into her shoulder. She wasn't sure what had prompted the attack, she only knew that it had hurt like hell. She had gotten a few more scratches until she managed to get away.
Luckily Cosette had medical knowledge up her sleeve. She patched herself up, using whatever supplies she found. It still hurt, but a lot less than before. At least she could still move.
It seemed fortune was truly on her side, she realized once she spotted the camp in the distance. Yet she was hesitant to return, unsure if she wanted to stick around after everything. All she could see was Benny's face, her own brother's remains. She could only think of a time when everything was alright.
But she still pushed on towards the oasis, unsure how they would receive her--but, for once, she didn't really care how they would react. She was just tired.
