But it was the desert's fault, looking the same with it's ever-flowing sand and lack of water. She would have given anything for at least one land mark in the middle of it all. Even though she had gotten used to it a long while ago, she would still admit that she hated living in a desert, especially when she was out on her own like this. It was hot out, as always. The sun beat down hard, glistening on the vast ocean of gold sand. If she didn't feel like she was dying, she would have thought it was pretty. The scenery was the last thing on her mind, though, her mind too focused on the ache in her shoulder. As if the desert wasn't dangerous enough with the extreme heat, it also had many predators, namely ones that flew overhead. She couldn't really tell the amount of time that passed, but sometime ago, a large bird had swooped down and dug their claws into her shoulder. She wasn't sure what had prompted the attack, she only knew that it had hurt like hell. She had gotten a few more scratches until she managed to get away. Luckily Cosette had medical knowledge up her sleeve. She patched herself up, using whatever supplies she found. It still hurt, but a lot less than before. At least she could still move. It seemed fortune was truly on her side, she realized once she spotted the camp in the distance. Yet she was hesitant to return, unsure if she wanted to stick around after everything. All she could see was Benny's face, her own brother's remains. She could only think of a time when everything was alright. But she still pushed on towards the oasis, unsure how they would receive her--but, for once, she didn't really care how they would react. She was just tired. They both had taken time to themselves, but the lion was not exactly surprised. To say they were in danger was a joke to him. That did change when Yes Man's body laid between his paws only days before, causing anger to fester within him. His concern grew. The smell of Cosette's faint musk caught his attention graced him with peace, yet ever-worrying grief. Had she come out because of such an event? Or was she delirious? Either way would end in utter chaos. The ardent had no other choice but to meddle within the sibling's affairs, as he was the leader and one of Yes Man's dearest friends. If only this could go quietly. As he followed the scent with caution, venomous canines bit down onto his split tongue out of concern. It only released when her figure came into view. "Cosette," he rasped. The lion rushed to her side. If she were to collapse due to exhaustion or need any assistance, he would be her pillow or shoulder to cry on. "How are you?" Before mentioning anything about her brother's passing, Stryker was going to attempt to see if she knew anything about it. He didn't want to ruin her return. Re: .:*☆ SO LITTLE TIME — RETURN - CAESAR CIPHER. - 12-12-2018 THERE IS NO LIFE, THERE IS NO SPARK !
CAESAR CIPHER. MALE. THE PITT. DWELLER.
Caesar was used to the heat, mostly due to the fact that he had lived in The Typhoon for a while. Although, The Pitt's weather was definitely a lot more harsher than The Typhoon's. The Typhoon was more of a tropical place; humid and hot. The Pitt, on the other hand, was dry and hot - not exactly the best combination. Even so, the savannah was slowly adjusting to the change and the best way to do that was to, well, be out in the desert itself. Hearing Stryker's voice however, made Caesar veer towards him, his ears pricked with interest as he approached. "I'm presuming you've been here before?" The demon stated with a thoughtful frown, his tail tip flicking back and forth. "You returning, then?" She stops as he approaches, watching him with curious yet wary eyes, waiting to see what he would say when he got close. But she failed at biting back her surprise, brows rising at his question. She was surprised not only because he wasn't quite the type to ask someone such a question, but also because she had expected him to be upset at her disappearance, or at least somewhat irritated. But she couldn't see anything like that on his face. She bites on the inside of her lip, eyes darting over to the unfamiliar male for a moment before settling back on Stryker. She had a bad feeling, a knot twisting inside her stomach. "[glow=black,2,300]I--I'm fine.[/glow]" she's quick to reassure. Then she turns back, regarding the one she didn't recognize, a bit taken aback by his...vibrant color. "[glow=black,2,300]Hello.[/glow]" she starts, then nods at his statements. She waited for him to introduce himself, but when he didn't, she just turned away. There were more pressing matters at hand, in her opinion. The ivory lion gave a lowly nod. By her response, she seemed oblivious. He did not find any comfort in that, knowing that he'd most likely be the one to address the situation. Before they proceeded with the funeral, he'd have to tell Cosette. Showing up to her brother's funeral with no notice wasn't exactly pleasant. "The sun shines bright for you today then," he cockily remarked. The ardent remained there with a forced smile. His attempts at trying to lift her up before letting her down weren't exactly the best per expectation."Perhaps we can talk a walk and we can catch up?" //private thread?? or continue this here?? |
