How strange it was to see a bright blue fledgling hop around on the ground. She ran and skipped instead of flying in the air. Such a free creature should be up in the air, no? ... what caused this one to be on the ground? ... well. either way, she seemed happy enough.
The tiny magpie-jay happily hopped across the forested floor, taking no mind into the eerie and spooky atmosphere. if anything, she seemed intrigued by it. Snatching a loose twig into her beak, she javelined herself up onto a log where she stared up at the shifting tree branches around her. This place has to be haunted... She whispered silently under her breath. Her beak fell open slightly, her blue eyes scanning the trees.
One heartbeat..... two heartbeats...... three heartbeats...
She stood still, tail and crest fluffed up as the wind gently caressed the feathers, twirling their fingers through the soft membranes. The little bird blinked, still as a statue. She almost seemed broken for a few seconds before she springed to life as if her batteries had been replaced. She jumped up, raising her wings to the sky and shouted out, That is so cool!! She screeched as she fell to the ground, lying on her back. She blinked twice in a daze before she shorted, laughing at her own predicament. She doesn't even know how much danger she's in.
