While he lived in Alaska, it was not his native home. Both of his parents were from Russia, trained and raced as a sled dog their in her young years. Victor had been born in Russia, but he was no more than a month old when he was brought over to Alaska by the humans to race on American soil. He had no memory of Russia due to how young he had been, but his mother told him many stories about her childhood their. Both he and his brother and sister enjoyed learning how to speak with an American accent. Being raised with Russian-speaking parents, they all had the ability to speak Russian, but it did no good in the Alaskan frontier. Victor had learned English rather quickly and never really spoke Russian since. The canine was not sure if he even knew how to speak his original language fluently anymore.
Despite it becoming fall and the temperatures began to plummet back home, not here. It still remained hot and humid, and his body had finally acclimated to the change. The once plush and warm coat he had was falling off, and man, was it itchy. Victor sat off to the side in the middle of the camp, whimpering slightly at the discomfort he felt. He itched and itched, large clumps of fur falling off. Only within a few moments did it appear that it had snowed within the camp, but in reality, it was his fur. It was rather gross, yes, but at this point, Victor just wanted it off.
