while a day late due to his bad sleeping habits, at least malphas had actually done what he told morgan he'd do. he wasn't the most dependable person, but he'd try his best to get things done if it was for the betterment of tanglewood. he had only done weekly tasks once before, so he hoped he'd be good enough this time around.

"hey, everybody. your local mouthass is handin' out tasks like hot cakes, so come and get em'." the manx cat announced, grinning. wow, this was a lot easier the second time around.

[align=center][div style="text-align: justify; width: 60%; font-family: georgial; font-size: 11pt;"]Weekly tasks seemed like an efficient way to give out chores to those members who were a little slow on a day-to-day basis. Only problem was, Axle didn't think he was one of those slow members, normally if asked to do a job he'd do it rather efficiently. It was just the way that the Cattle Dog was, he was a breed easy to condition by those without fur ad nothing could get past instincts of wanting to try his hardest. His own survival at least assisted in making his heavy duty work relevant most of the time. "Hmph," Axle signified his presence with a grunt, hoping that the sound was enough indication that the frowning male wanted something to do.

Leroy’s last weekly task had gone excellently. He was ordered to merely cook something for the clan, which wasn’t very good or original whatsoever. Though, with some tampering, he had changed a stale job into an all out entertainment-fest. Apart from his sick clanmates afterwards, it was a fairly warming experience for everyone.

"Oy, I need somethin’ ta do," he’d declare gruffly, hobbling towards the medic. Abathur had done a swell job patching him up, but having to stay off his foot for an amount of weeks would get on his nerves. The painkillers were nice, though.

"I'll take one." Delilah spoke up, petals covering her paws as she trotted over, tail swishing side to side.

"I would like one, too." she said simply. Her last weekly task hadn't garnered much attention, but that was fine. She could up the ante with this one, try to make it a lot more interesting.

stocking couldn't resist the light hearted smile that pulled at her lips; the first genuine one in a long time. It seems mouthass-- or malphas, had taken a liking to her nickname of him, then. The notion made her pleased deep within her chest. Something akin to a purr vibrating in the hollow of her throat. How alarming. She hasn't purred since eons ago. The things that her little sugar bear did to her--

The rememberance if her secret pet name for the medic was enough to wrench a distressed and bashful mumble from her throat. How trivial. Never think of that again stocking.

"Mouth ass," she enunciates clearly as she approaches, eyeing the dark feline and emphasizing his less than serious nickname with a hint of satisfied amusement. A mottled flush heats her ears. "I'll take one."

oh yeah, right. the hardest part of the tasks wasn't showing up to them- it was handing them out. pushing down pangs of fear, he gazed upon everyone who had gathered, blood-red eyes narrowing in concentration.

it came to him finally, and he spoke. " [member=1501]AXLE[/member] , could you patrol our borders? maybe take a friend or something, see if you find anything weird out there." he turned. " [member=1538]leroy[/member] , i want you to hold a bonfire. don't cook anything yourself, we know how that goes." a rare smile formed on malphas' face, grinning at his joke. " [member=1277]DELILAH.[/member] , uh, let's see... why don't you organize a herb patrol? i'm running low on shit." he told her, but he knew something more about her. he wanted to give them all tasks he thought they'd enjoy, after all. he turned to ophelia, tilting his head. " @OPHELIA , could you help leroy with that bonfire?" he spoke. " [member=1444]aya[/member] , how about you go with axle on that border patrol? you're tough shit," he said, honestly for once. " @VIGENERE , i want you to hold a class on controlling powers." last but certainly not last, was his angel-cake stocking. oh boy. pet names already. " [member=1430]STOCKING[/member] , why don't you teach people how to fight with weapons?" he asked. god, he loved her.

"Do your worst, sass master." Arrow chimed in with a click of her tongue. The last time she did a weekly task it caused some minor bruising and lots of asshats falling over. She tripped over shit all the time, even absolutely nothing could yank her paws out from under her. Guess all it took to bring Tanglewood down to her level was scattering rocks. She still hadn't found out if anyone knew it was her.

But today was a fresh one, brushing off the past that came with her lopsided, scribble-face little friend still in her abode.
