Ah. Spring. Beautiful. Warm, fresh air. the birds were chirping, and stocking was inexplicably happy.

Stocking the thrust open the doors of her cabin, sprung from its hold with a little step and went off on her merry little way. The soft and getlr guardsman's fur was not shaded with the gloomy and dark hue of navy purple, but instead, a cheerful and pure white, the highlights of her mane a baby, powdery blue.

She paused to pluck a growing flower from the ground, lifting it to her snout to obnoxiously inhale its wonderful scent. Sweet and perfect. Just like her.

"Today looks so wonderful!" She trilled in a girly voice, gaze sparkling with carefree jovialty.

Stocking's life was seized with brightness and love love love. She hardly ever thought of anything else. Why should she?

Aya grimaced at Stocking. "Stop your screeching, you're gonna make my eyes bleed." She mumbled monotonously, her insult clearly incorrect. "The world is misery and everyone is only alive to one day die." The tortoiseshell glared at Stocking, too apparently exhausted to give any real toxicity.

You know, there were a lot of things wrong in Axle's life. Dead family trope, betrayed hero trope, he'd been by himself for ages, and whilst it might've been the end of the world for many in his metaphorical shoes... the canine felt fine. Well, fine perhaps wasn't the entirely right word, not even the most coldest animal in the world would feel like a million bucks after a tragedy, but hell he was coping fairly well all things considered. A great smile plastered on his face, Axle would trot into camp just in time to hear the two lovely ladies talking to one another. Mouth gaped in amazement at the yin and yang, the Heeler couldn't help but ram himself into a conversation that wasn't any of his business because hey, that's what most animals did in these places. "Come on, lighten up kitty cat," he cooed, tail wagging so fast you'd think he was about to take off. "That's the joyous thing about life, you can distract yourself with pointless stuff and then you die. It's all you ever need to— SQUIRREL!" his ears skyrocketed, head shooting up like a meerkat as he looked towards the trees.

"Haaah? Lighten up, goth girlfriend." Snorted Delilah as she walked over, seating herself a bit distant away from Stocking. The way she acted was disgusting, but she couldn't really help with the hatred she felt for the idea of love. Fuck love, fuck friends. She didn't need that shit. Fuck it all. "Wait.. What did I come here for again..?" She asked, annoyance lacing her voice.

Arrow shook her head, trying to block out the sounds of aggressive toxicity from the others. She tapped her paw against the half empty alcohol bottle beside her, choosing not to engage with the Tanglewood residents. After all, they were trashy, annoying, dirty. She, quite frankly, did not give two shits about them, she just didn't have much else, and her rank chained her down to this filthy swamp, but maybe it wasn't all bad. She had leverage over most of these cunts. Because she was better, naturally.

She rolled her eyes at Stocking, sniffing the flower into her nose practically. Obnoxious, really. So ditzy, it was a shame.

arrow reeked of violence and gloom-- and stocking instantly recoiled, face twisting jntk horror and unsureness. Why did it have to be this way? why couldn't arrow just be... Happy? Life was certainly better like that. Ignorance was bliss and stocking never wanted to be aware.

"I-im... Sorry?" She tripped over her words, cowering with submission beneath the far more oppressive oriental. Stocking had never meant to make arrow respond in such a... Way. Granted, arrow always seemed to be in a mood but stocking would rather that she wasn't. She only wanted the best for her friends. And that meant every single one in tanglewood.

This day was just going by swell.

Axle was far more jovial, and stocking allowed her eyes to slip over to him, almost grateful for his intrusion.

Delilah was far more accepting than the other guardsman, sauntering over with a smug, calm confidence.

Her eyes switched from Delilah, to arrow once more as the other begrudgingly took a whiff of the flower.

Stocking's tail thumped with  eager satisfaction. She wasn't too sure what resulted in the change of heart but she was happy about it either way, eager to please and wondering if arrow's kind had changed after taking a deep inhale of mother nature's beautiful, beautiful gift.

"See?" She crooned. "Does it smell nice?" Her smile was bright. All white, perfect little teeth and gleaming.
