she rolled her eyes at dante's words, snorting to herself. she knew well of tricks like these; insulting words to get her angry, and though it worked quite often, she was never one to give them satisfaction. instead she simply dropped her expression, eyes drawing to the feline-fish-whatever he was and staying there. "i just told you my reason." north told him plainly. he would need to try much harder than sexist comments to get her riled up. though she had a temper, she was getting better at controlling it. in all honesty she was surprised in the fact that he had gone for the 'girls cant do this' take instead of some other, but she supposed that was the most common. she'd heard more of the insults aiming at her androgyny than the others, but those poking at her lacking femininity were common as well. the dire wolf kept her eyes on dante, waiting whatever other insults he could come up with.

Butch sighed as he trundled towards the group, his paws turning inward slightly as he came to a stop.  Another canine?  Beautiful.  Granted, this canine was considerably larger than he, with a build more similar to some great ancestor of his than anything.... but still, he enjoyed the sentiment of having someone close to his own kind in proximity.

He nodded a greeting to the other members of the Pitt, inwardly rolling his eyes at their crass natures, though he did nothing to cull them.  They were who they were, and though Butch was not always pleased with how they conducted themselves, he did not wish to change someone because of his own personal taste.

"A pleasure to meet someone of my classification, Miss Stark.  My name is Butch.  I... well, I am around for moral support, mostly.  Would you like to find a place to rest your paws?"

Butch's docked ears twitched, the only outward sign of annoyance he would give as he focused on the newcomer.

"And I demand to hear the reason again." Dante snarled, clearly not happy over his question being dismissed like that. "Your answer before is not satisfactory. Try again." What, was it just because she didn't want to be with a bunch of pansy-ass pacifists? Dante couldn't blame her if that was the case, but he definitely wasn't going to allow her to know that. He wanted a better reason, a reason that he found gratifying. The Strong Arm heard Butch approaching of course, however he paid no attention to the other male.

Well, well, well... they had a big shot right here. "Looks like you-" The lion aimed to playfully prod his claw into Dante's chest with a slight shove. "-have a new best friend." Sure enough, these two would be interesting to watch around the clan. Melantha chiming up was even better. Even so, he tried to show too much excitement, seeing that he was only a skald and not in equal rank to any of them.

'Shut up?' Don't know her. To the newcomer, he gave a small smile in response to her genuine question. Even though he was newer, the male had little to no idea on what many of the Pitt's traditions were just yet, but he offered the best answer he could... Which meant it sucked. "Mostly we keep slaves, hold battles, and lick our own asses with our ego-ridden tongues," he drawled, answering her question poorly. His opinions on the topics were rather dull. Everyone could do what they wanted as long as it didn't involve him (or did if it specifically benefitted him).  "I'm sure you'll enjoy the community more than that, personally."
