READY AS I'LL EVER BE // MEETING (7/29)

[Roy Mustang]

Roy considered himself to be quite surprised, when Bastilleprisoner confronted him this morning with a favor to ask. Bastilleprisoner wanted him to host the meeting, which Roy wasn't expecting to hear. He thought Bastille would go to Suiteheart and Margaery far before him, but Bastille proved him wrong. The bobcat accepted the offer, and soon after was filled in with what Bastille wanted him to announce. Roy found himself padding to the regular platform Bastilleprisoner goes to during meetings, finding it peculiar that he was heading there instead. Sitting himself down on the ground, Roy spoke up with a loud, commanding voice. "Ascendants! Gather around for a meeting!" For a short moment the male fell silent, as a crowd slowly gathered before. His blue eyes scanned it momentarily, and when he decided there was enough people to continue, the Lunar Lieutenant opened his mouth to speak again. "We have quite a few things to discuss today, so listen up!" He said with a militaristic tone, ears drawing back to his skull.

"First and foremost, we had quite a number of people joining and returning this week. Welcome Gaatkaaras, Emmaera, René, Pimostra, Hearteyes, Stark, Lucia, Rosetouch, Harland, Owen, & Naomi! Soon a trip to the starpool will be set up for you newcomers, so stay tuned for that." The Flame Alchemist spoke, as his blue eyes continued to scan the crowd, "Cass, Church, and Thea- welcome back!"

"Next, our ally Snowbound has invited us to two events! The first being a murder mystery, and the second being a mass gathering! Make sure to go and attend these!" The bobcat continued, knowing that he himself had to attend these events very soon. Roy was an ambassador to Snowbound, and it would look bad on him if he didn't make time to participate in them. Hopefully his groupmates will chose to attend one or both of them as well.

"Lately, the Typhoon has caused us quite the amount of trouble. They captured Pele and Thea- recently Thea returned to us harmed from them. And most recently, they raided us at the starpool. This is my warning to all of you to stay alert and watch your back- as it's looking tense." Roy was (unfortunately) unable to declare official enemy status with the Typhoon, but at least he was allowed to warn his groupmates about the pirates. If the Flame Alchemist had the ability to make them enemies, he'd do it in a heart beat, but that decision is all up to Bastilleprisoner.

"This week there will be no promotions, demotions, or warnings," He said with a flick of his ear, eyes blinking slowly. The week turned out to be a bit slower at the end, which was fine. Roy knew that this was the most 'exciting' part of the meeting, so the no promotions part might sound disappointing- but he wasn't done yet. "Shout-outs to Gabriel, Thea and Carolina!" For a moment, Roy's eyes scanned the crowd for the three individuals. "Keep it up and there'll be a promotion in your future." With that, Roy tore his gaze away from them, as he continued to speak with a commanding tone. "A few titles as well. Gemini for Moonmade, Cancer for Imperia, Taurus for Shininglight & Lessa, and Leo for Gabriel!"

"And finally, a few quick reminders!"

"Reminder that there's a discussion going on about cliques and the buddy system- make sure to go put your input there!" The more input they get on it, the better they can fix the current problem. "Attention to the semi/high position team: volunteers are needed for weekly tasks! If you haven't volunteered before, now's your chance!" He mentioned with a flick of his ear, coming close to the end of the announcements. "Final call for the choice awards- voting will be closed in two days! Lastly, with July coming to an end, August ceremonies will be up and running in a few days."

"That's all, meeting dismissed!"

Owen was surprisingly early as well. He had been feeding the raptors as he usually did, though. He was glad that Echo was back, too. Now he only had to find Blue and Charlie. Though, that didn't matter right now.

Moving forward, the male sat down off to the side, amber eyes watching the Colonel and listening. "Thanks for the welcomes. Owen chuckled, the black and brown german shepherd unmoving from his spot.

The Typhoon had raided them, or attempted to, not long ago. It pissed Owen off, and he had been thinking of ways to get back at them. Of course, they weren't enemies. Not yet, at least. He'd have to ask later.

With a soft grunt, the smaller chocolate feline sat beside her, listening to the announcements. A raid? He wanted to fight in one of those one day.

His ceremony would come soon, though. He'd be a fireball soon!

tex would be one of the individuals who would be first to appear to the meeting the bobcat has called for, noticing that it wasn't that other individual this time as well. speaking of which she has scarcely seen bastille, let alone people scarcely seeing her for the past week for reasons. anywho, the lioness found herself a rather nice, comfy spot to reside on as the announcements were made. seems like there's a routine for how announcements work out; that's good in her opinion. having a properly structured meeting allows things to go by quite smoothly; she could dig it. when roy mentioned the name of the clan that had raided them recently, the freelancers left ear perched upwards to display her interest in the topic. she was hoping for them to have some plans to launch a counterattack against them in order to do more damage than what they had already done earlier, but it doesn't appear to be the case just yet. shame, having more combat in this new world and body of hers gave her relief; it made her feel at ease. being a freelancer meant that there was always going to be combat, and hardly any rest and relaxation. being able to chill out is peculiar to her well-being, strangely enough. just before she knew it, the meeting was over and everyone was dismissed; she had heard carolina's name be mentioned in the portion for shout outs as well. a smile formed behind her helmet as she figured she was going to have to work just a bit harder now.

To say Suiteheart was happy about Roy hosting this meeting was an understatement. Yes, despite fighting with Bastilleprisoner, she still loved him and the meetings he hosted. However, she was thrilled to bits to see that Bast had handed Roy the reins. Roy was one of her closest friends too, so she was heavily cheering for him. He was a natural born leader, so she was excited to see how he would handle his duty.

"Welcome to the family, new kids on the block. And welcome back to our returners," Suiteheart called after Roy listed off each joiner from the past week. It seemed the influx of members never ceased - not that she minded. Each new face breathed new life into the Ascendants. It was good to have new members. And it was equally good to have back older members.

The next topics on the table were events with Snowbound, and Suite mentally noted each event. She knew she needed to make an appearance. She had skipped an event not too terribly long ago, and she still felt like an asshole for that. This time around, she would be there.

The mention of the Typhoon caused her ears to pin backwards. A worried look marked her face. The Typhoon was a strong group - one that easily rivaled if not surpassed them in manpower and resources. The main differences between the groups was the fact that every member of the Typhoon could fight. The same could not be said for the Ascendants.

"Congrats!" she smiled as Roy called out for shout-outs and titles. Everyone whose name was called certainly deserved the recognition. She was proud of them.

She fell silent as Roy continued. Once he finished, she nodded her head. "Noted, Roy," she replied. Suiteheart glanced about the gathered group, hoping one of the other semi/high positions would volunteer for tasks. She hated to admit she was burnt out on ideas.

Huh. That was new. Roy was leading a meeting this time. I partially wondered if Bastille was either lazy or depressed. Or just looking to see who he could potentially promote up to his place. Either way, I loved a little change.

I listened carefully, offering a nod. Carolina deserved a promotion, at least in my mind. The woman had been mentioned last meeting, and I thought this was the day she would get higher up. I was surprised. Alright.

"Noted." I smiled, giving a nod. That was relatively quick. Hm...

[GABRIEL]

He'd heard about the shit they pulled -he would've been there, except it was difficult to fight people on a day where Gabe couldn't stay solid- and for the hybrid, it was much more pressing than the events going on with their allies. Sure, those were important to keep relations strong, but a building starting to fall was much more dangerous than a building in construction, obviously. If he had his old team- no, that was all in the past. He didn't need to think about "what ifs" and "could haves" when they did nothing for the now. What Gabe needed to do was gather as much information as he could. A simple raid on The Typhoon wouldn't do much. They'd have to hit them where it hurt, and to do that, Gabe had to figure out where the chinks were. That couldn't be done sitting on his ass, and he'd have to talk to someone about it, get clearance for an idea before he ran off, as tempting as it was.

He'd been so entrenched in plans that he nearly missed the rest of the announcements, and he shook himself out of it, inclining his head to the recognition. He couldn't say he was entirely interested in promotions, not at the moment; it was difficult to explain, but authority and influence were two very separate things. "Understood. I might have an idea to run past you in a bit. I'll find all the important people when I do."

He was slowly working his way through the upper ranked members, putting them through the motions of leadership, getting them a taste of what the fuck that even looked like. He was likely to die young (a simple truth), which meant making sure his clan was better off than they’d been getting stuck with him. As much as he disliked Suiteheart, he had a feeling that they’d be alright with her and the others. [b]”We won’t retaliate just yet, but they aren’t welcome on our territory.”
