✯ — When the hawk was satisfied, he flew back across the plains to the body of water, landing gracefully above the hidden marten.  She raised her head, ear twitching. "G-go; cause... Tr-trouble," she murmured.  No doubt he wanted to.  Sticking close to the base of the tree, she raised to a crouch as the battle truly began, watching.  They were after the shards.  She bit back a disappointed sigh.  All this needless fighting.  Same old story.

While Lessa did not approve of the violence, Calum embraced it a little more, charging into the thick of things with a battle cry.  When he spotted a pirate leaving with Ascendants' shards, the bird wasted no time, swooping down and aiming to slash at [member=1517]Luca[/member] with his razor sharp talons, going for his ears, intent on ripping and tearing.  He vaguely recognized the canine, even with coal, but that did not change the fact he was an enemy.

The Halo chewed the inside of her cheek, attention torn away from her agro-companion by the responding tug on her soul.  When she had sent a message of danger, she had meant for him to be a warning but... Of course, he was coming to protect her.  Not that she could stop him or convince him to stay safe in the Observatory.

She risked a fast wave of her tail, attempting to pull his attention to the tree in the center of the lake visibly as she answered his pull.  Without Calum, she was perhaps, a tad defenseless even if she wouldn't admit it, if only due to her downright refusal to fight.  The metal claws she sported no doubt packed a punch, but she would not be using them tonight, or ever, if she could help it.

Told you, that's my job, the tease was half-hearted, strained by the wariness of watching the battle as she finally narrowed her eyes, relaxing a little when she was sure she had caught sight of him.  Tabitha too; watching his back.  Good.

The sound of wings above Luca alerted him to the incoming danger, but the canine didn't swerve on his path or attempt to defend himself. The fiery pain was something he was used to, and he knew that his ears could handle a little shredding. They were pretty sensitive though, and despite being bothered by the usual attack, Luca couldn't help but wince a little as blood spilled from the wounds and over his face. Aside from that, he made it back to the boat without too much trouble. Luca dumped the pouch in a safe-ish place on deck and shook out his fur, sending a cloud of charcoal into the air and finally looking up at Calum. The bird looked familiar, and he narrowed his rose eyes. "Leave me alone!" He complained, a small burst of flames exiting his maw as he lifted a limb to bat uselessly at the hawk. He had better things to do than kill somebody's pet.

Of course, it didn't take long for him to lay eyes on a perfect example of something better.

"Shininglight!" Luca cried, and his paws moved before he knew what he was doing, carrying him towards the striped feline like his life depended on it. back off the boat, back into battle. He hadn't spotted Lessa yet, but just seeing his old crush sent tears springing to Luca's eyes. He sniffled as he skidded to a stop, staring at Shininglight with desperate, watering eyes. "Shine- Shine you have to get out of here!" Luca said, shaking some of the pink blood from the fur of his head. "You'll get hurt!" He had never known Shine to be a fighter, after all, and seeing him on the receiving end of a raid was enough to send the hellhound's heart racing. He attempted to headbutt Shine gently to usher him away from the battle, trying to get him away from most of the danger.

Lucifer was no pacifist but neither was he a needless warmonger or one who actively sought to cause harm - maybe once in bygone lives or ages past, but the Ancient shadow was content to live as he did.

not to say he couldn't and wouldn't fight however,

as it was on this incursion, the dragon had merely come along as defence and support - maybe a quick getaway if they needed to be immediately flown back if things got too hairy, which is why when a flame headed [member=66]PINCHER[/member] 's way, the dragon - uneeding charcoal for his scales were dark enough - dived straight in the way to deflect the blaze with a protective hiss at [member=312]Col. Mustang[/member] for the action, daring the other to attempt to fight the dragon to get to Pinch - of course then it seemed someone else had chosen to attack the flame wielder.

of course then Luca's voice called out familiar names - and Lucifer started momentarily, great head swinging around to spy the fox shooing away- {b]"-shine?"[/b] somewhat surprised, he'd yet to spot Lessa occupied as he was with trying to keep anyone from pinch.

/TL.DR: Luci's got in the way of roys attack and is currently just defending pinch and co near the captain + surprised at shine bein here.

the lioness has been in her fair share of battles before during her days as freelancer under the director's control, so fighting is no new thing to her. the only new things here were that they were the ones being raided and that both sides were of some feral species; or so she though. tex noticed the chaos a few moments after it began so it didn't take long for her to reach the scene - it was then when she stumbled across yet again something else new aside from the dragon that has come out of nowhere; almost all of these creatures had some kind of power that they were utilizing in combat. honestly, she was left shook for a few brief moments as one of her clanmates used a brilliant flame to attack their trespassers. it made her wonder, if everyone was able to have powers.

the sound of the battle helped her snap out of the trance fortunately; it would be something that she would have to experience for herself at a later time. for now, her main objective is to rid the ascendants of this group of intruders as quickly as possible. the lioness would spot [member=185]deldrach[/member] as she aimed for roy and would break into a sprint in order to counter-leap and tackle deldrach's side to prevent her from reaching roy. since the upper part of her body, including her head, has armor on, the tackle could potentially wind deldrach if tex makes contact.

Owen was good at fighting with his fists, he was strong. When he was human, he was previously in the Navy, so it isn't hard for someone like him to get caught up in fights like this. But, at the sound of a ear-rattling screech, Owen dashed out of the observatory, a loud click escaping his jaws. "Delta!" Came the broadcasted call to his pack member, his only one that stuck around. His child, she had to defend her home with him, didn't she?

Unsheathing the knife on his side, he held the weapon in his jaws before glancing around, keen eyes watching, waiting, for an opponent he could fight. Delta would come soon, and when she did, Hell would be brought down on the fools who thought they could raid the Ascendants.

Hearing Owen's call, Delta arrives quickly to join him - her sprint is fast, capable of intense speeds, but she loses some stealth advantage by her loud arrival. The thuds on the ground and rustling of the foliage is enough to announce her presence even before she pops out and joins at Owen's side. "Food? Hunt?" she babbles at him, tail lashing behind her. She clearly sees that there are some brawls going on, and she clearly smells the presence of two mammal packs - though she does not quite see the point of interfering. If left to her own devices, she would probably just wait and pick off someone that got too distracted or injured.

Owen knew that there were too few Typhooners here. There should be more, I mean, who would attack someone and not have the firepower to fight back? Then again, the Typhoon was known for being idiots. Pure, complete idiots. "Hunt. Prey." He barked out the command to Delta, ears flattening as he heard her stomps. Not because he was scared, but because her feet were fucking outrageously loud. He lifted his head, tossing his knife towards the direction of [member=1517]Luca[/member] , not aiming to hit her. A signal. That was to be Delta's target. If they wanted to come onto the Ascendants territory, they would need more manpower than that.

"Fuck off and go home, you cunts!" Owen snapped at Pincher, eyes narrowing towards him. A warning.

Granted, the girl is not inclined to simply let these pirates rampage through her home and take whatever they please. Peri did not spend hours planting a garden or practicing her blacksmithing just to have some raiders steal her herbs and the meteorite shards. While she can fight, Imperia is not exactly armed with offensive powers, so she'll have to be smart about it.

Cooper had been enjoying himself a nice cup of tea, basking in the cool moonlight that filtered in through his window. His peaceful 'morning' was disrupted as the sounds of fighting reached him. The canine stood abruptly, dashing out of his room and tipping over his cup in the process.

The dog's paws led him towards the sound of the fighting, finding them near the moon pool. The normally pacifist canine found rage filling his veins as he watched his family be attacked. "cowards" grownled the canine, searching for who he should attempt to drive off first.
