nui stared blankly at cry, dull perplexity shading her features as the avian seemed to stiffen with resolve. nui was quick to wipe the puzzlement from her face, hoping that whatever had the feathered lady bothered would be resolved. but for the life of her, she wasn't sure what.

"all i need to do is take measurements of your head and bust. width and length," nui proceeded to pull a role of measuring tape from one of the shelves within the desk, laying the coiled up device upon the table. there was a generous pause, then nui's singular eye narrowed in understanding. cry asking what was required of her could allude to more than just measurements, of course. perhaps cry was not asking what needed to be measured; that was common knowledge. perhaps her question was focused on something else.

"and if you're wondering about payment, i do believe that i don't need anything in return unless you feel like paying me. so essentially, it's free unless you'd like to donate."

  Cry blinked and nodded. She wasn't one for being touched but... this would have to do. She turned to her wings, plucking out two jet black feathers from each side. She hopped close to the cat and dropped them. She blinked, seeming to glare at Nui. She seemed aggressive, but she was only trying to hold herself together. I'm ready. She announced. God what a drama queen.

a brilliant eye flickered, focusing on cry as she plucked her feathers, brandishing them and setting it in front of nui.

the were sable and smooth, glittering darker than the night sky, even. the look beautiful, and the cat's expression fell into a pleased one.

wordlessly, the designer plucked the measuring tape from where she set it down. "this'll only take a moment," stretching out the measurement, she'd attempt to stretch the tape, gently bringing it vertically, across cry's forehead across the length of her cranium down to where her beak started. and then vertically, from the top of her skull down to the side of her head.

as expected, the measurements were remarkably small, but not so tiny as to that such armor couldn't be executed. her claws in itself were delicate, her grip precise and practiced.

with a resolute nod, the gal sketched the measurements into her notebook, before drawing the measuring tape across the other's sternum, then the length of their breast.

"all done!" nui cooed. she withdrew to scribble down the last of the units, then tilted a head with satisfaction, curls bouncing with the movement. "i'll have your armor delivered to you later this week, with luck."
