One could say that RK had an easy lifestyle. Everything that was required of him was given as orders that he would simply follow and never stray from. In his world, it was black in white with no in-betweens. RK never had any increasingly hard decisions to make in his life, as all of his decisions were calculated and statistics created in his head to help pick the most successful option. The record that he had on his file of completed cases was proof of this. He didn't have to worry about relations with others like himself, as they did not exist. He did not have to worry about the issue of families as he had none. RK did not have the same moral and mental baggage that humans acquire over their lifetime, making it easier to accomplish his missions. Missions. That was all that mattered to him and he would sacrifice his own life if need be. RK had never wanted such baggage for himself as those feelings were for humans and humans alone. But, there had been one time where RK had wondered what would happen to a human if they simply did not bother with such things. Would they become more robotic? He knew that classifying someone that cuts all bonds from around them could be considered sociopathic. Humans felt pain. What if they didn't? Would there be any reason for other humans to hurt each other if they knew that they could feel anything? Would there be any satisfaction involved? Or would they dwell into insanity to be able to feel pain and fear all over again? There were some mythical stories that ended up reading up on simply because a human had referenced the book and he wished to understand what they were talking about. A person not capable of pain sought out all the battles that they could as an attempt to feel pain again, to feel anything. It made them feel alive when they finally did so, and the entire story seemed confusing to RK. He didn't feel pain thanks to his parts, and that allowed him better reaction times if he were to get injured or broken in the field as it would not stop his forward progression. It what made him amazing at his job. If he was a regular animal, getting injured in the field would lead to him running away in order to preserve his own existence. Without that distraction, he was the best and believed that there was no reason to get rid of a feature, which had been discussed by the public how inhumane it was to make it so a creature was not able to feel anything. There were many decisions that were made about his design, and he did not question them. They were his creators, they deserved the utmost respect.

RK did not hold the memory of Hal's volatile reaction against him. Humans certainly did like their quotes and he supposed that it could be used in all situations regarding all. "He was only human". Humans were prone to make mistakes, which made it more likely for them to be replaced with machines that could do a better job without the risk to the lives around it. Humans were complicated and were dealing with their own issues. RK did not try to understand completely what was going through Hal's mind. Although, it would make his job a lot easier if he was able to analyze the other's thoughts to formulate correct responses. Human error was commonly used in the workplace, which usually leads to the scrutinizing of the training that the human had received. Eventually, the humans set their sights on more of a robotic mainstream in the workplace. Instead of a regular assembly line for cars, machines did most of the work but were overseen by human workers nonetheless. Soon enough, self-driving cars were created and were mass produced to reduce the number of traffic accidents in the world and it helped decrease the number of car-related deaths in recent years. Humans no longer wanted to do housework, so they automated that as well, creating smaller less complicated robots to do the tasks for them. Scheduling, babysitting, grocery shopping, and more became automated for human convenience. Normally, it was common for most humans to own some form of advanced technology. He was surprised when he was taken to the Lieutenant's household to find that it was a very basic house with limited electronics. A TV at most from what he was able to scan at the time, and a charging station for him that was given to Hal to set up, in which RK obviously helped as the man had struggled for several minutes muttering curse words under his breath. There was always talk about whether or not the technology was far too much, but considering most humans purchased such technology, there was supply and demand that needed to be met. However, it was not all bad, as there were some units that were created to help the health of humans. Whether it was watching their mental health or helping with their disabilities. They were usually basic robots and were certainly not as advanced as him. RK did have those functions in his programming. He was there to provide comfort and support for Hal in his worst of time, but then again he was just following protocol when dealing with a human with such problems. In the police department, they made the perfect duo. RK chose the logical route, while the Lieutenant played the part of being able to relate to the human that he was talking to, something that RK was capable of doing, but lacked the actual emotion.

Their roles did not switch in this situation. RK resumed the role that he had been created for from the very beginning. A partner. A spy. A K9 unit. He was there to protect the one person that was considered to be his owner, which meant a lot when coming from an android. An owner of an android could basically command the unit to do whatever they desired no questions asked. RK was very similar with a couple of differences, the Lieutenant may be his owner, but his creators always had more authority over him than Hal ever could. If the Lieutenant had commanded him to jump off a cliff and destroy himself, RK would not be able to comply with that mission as he is required to defend the Lieutenant, and he could not accomplish that mission if he were to be destroyed. Either way, seeing that the electricity output from his arm seemed to not really affect the Lieutenant, it made him think that maybe he was running low on power and that his battery was lower than previously estimated. While there was silence between them, his right eye glowed yellow for a second as he conducted another diagnosis.

The same reading he had gotten the first moment that he had woken up in the unknown area that they were in. The eye turned back to normal, but that still raised the question of why the electrical shock did little to affect the Lieutenant. Usually handling his electrical components felt as strong as any police taser. However the words that the Lieutenant spoke sparked some confusion in the android, although it wasn't an actual emotion, it was a reaction to what he said that was different than what his coding was telling him. His right eye remained blue during the interaction. "[glow=#212121,2,200]You are wrong Lieutenant. It is impossible for me to learn how to be 'human'. I am an android created by Cyberlife and I do not feel. A machine designed to accomplish a task.[/glow]" RK corrected the Lieutenant in a calm manner. By the way that Hal was talking, it seemed as if the other was saying that he could learn to become human. That was impossible. His base was that a wolf, far away from a human as one could really get in the form of an animal. But yet, Hal was expressing human emotion and he was in the body of the dog, not all that different from a wolf as they were descendants from them. When the other explained why he had chosen North, that still didn't make any sense. For him to pick a random direction wasn't entirely logical in RK's mind. He didn't have a preference. He had made the logical choice. That was why. There was no other reason he chose to go north. "[glow=#212121,2,200].....No, North was the direction chosen as civilizations position themselves North to South in most of the records I have of the nearby cities and towns where we were before.[/glow]" RK almost seemed to hesitate when it came up with the response to Hal. Maybe he wasn't completely able to understand what it was like to be human, and he may never understand. Him making a decision not based on logic did not make sense in regard to his coding. As he responded, his right eye began to swirl yellow as he tried to think of any other details as to why he had decided to go North. The reason why he had asked the question in the first place, was to simply get a gauge on the Lieutenant's mental state and how it was different from him in his current body. This could lead to him making it easier for the Lieutenant to cope with the questions that he had and his emotions to keep his owner from panicking. That was the plan anyway.
