bones hadn't felt at peace lately. he didn't know the area he was in, and he didn't know what in god's name had bespelled him to come find jim, the man he called captain. the liquor here wasn't cutting it either, even if it was spectacular.

his thoughts were a jumble of things these days, and he was unable to use his medicinal knowledge here because he didn't know what they did with these herbs. he supposed that maybe he should ask, but he was feeling a little too sour to find anyone.

instead, out on patrol, he found some hapless idiot NPC, the fool covered in some scratches and wounds. looks like they had a run-in with something from the waters of the swamp. he felt a burning in his chest at this time when he approached the NPC warily, eyes traversing the canine's body. he felt a stinging appear in his skin at approximately the same place as some of the fool's injuries. going to scratch his shoulder he let out a sharp noise as his paw passed through an open wound. what was going on!?
