What a weird name to have taken on after her separation from her living parent. Was she anything like her name? Perhaps she was and she just masked it well. The death of her father had not been forgotten. She never blamed Aesior for what happened back then and when she got lost, well.. She never blamed him then ether.

She couldn't let the past define her and she took her name not because of who she was, but to let her past go. She had always been Venom. The impulse part was new and she clung to it like a banner of her stupid choices. A reminder to never let the past haunt her. To never make dumb choices and to think first. She knew what she had done and what she needed to do.

Perhaps that was why she did not agree with the way others spoke about Cory and his return. No, it was an impulsive decision that led Cory to leave and that was fine. He had things to handle and she understood that to a deeper level. She made a choice that caused her to lose everything. She did not want to see Cory suffer alone as she had. Besides, it was clear how Cory felt about Aesior and that her father felt the same about him.

That made her understand on a deeper level that what Cory needed was time. Time and someone in his corner besides her father. So she decided to be that someone. She had been there for his panic attack. She made the call then. That was why she was standing outside his home now. Why she was knocking on the door she had once so carelessly entered.

Impulsive wasn’t nearly what Cory would’ve described himself with just a year ago. He never acted on a true whim until that moment, but then again he had never felt so strongly. The dreams permeating his brain of his sister’s final moments rattled the domestic cat to his core. His mind seldom functioned properly. Everything was painful and loud in the worst possible ways. He didn’t blame people for hating him for how he acted.

When he heard a knock, he was surprised. Nobody had visited him besides Aesior and his child.

Opening the door, he saw Venomousimpulse and froze up momentarily. Then, he offered a sheepish smile. Stepping aside, he motioned further into his home.

“Come in, what brings you here?”

The invite was accepted and she stepped inside. Carefully picking herself a spot to sit and letting her head turn to Cory. His question gave her pause and she took a soft, yet deep in nature, breath. "I came to check on you. You seemed like you could use a friend in all the chaos." She paused and then spoke again. Careful not to upset him with her words.

"No one should be alone, especially in these times. So, I figured i should get to know you and maybe offer a friendship between two similar spirits." The woman was calm as she spoke, but she was clearly hopeful that the male would not be angered by her words. Then again, if he was she would just power through it. She was no push over and was as stubborn as her father. Well, not Aesior but the other one.
