What would it be like, to not remember a single thing about your life? To not recall your mother, or your father, or any of the potential siblings you may have had? To not remember a single day of your existence, no matter how short that life had been so far? To many, these questions would only be hypothetical. A mere silly thought they aimed at themselves as they went through their day, wondering how things would be different if they couldn't remember everything they had gone through. For Fragglerock, though, these questions were simply his reality. As hard as he tried, the young mutated rabbit was unable to remember a single thing about his past. He couldn't recall the faces or names of his mother or father, nor could he remember any of his siblings, if he even had any. Although, he had to assume that he did, considering rabbits didn't often only have one child. Additionally, he couldn't remember a single day of his life that had come before, even if he had only been living for three months. Sure, he doubted all that much had happened to him in a mere trio of months, but it still hurt, not being able to look back at any of it.
Still, ever since the day that he had "woken up," so to speak, Fraggle had realized that there was very little he could do to change his memory loss. He had little idea of what had caused it, and it wasn't as if anyone had been around when he had woken up. Instead, he had been all alone, without anyone else around him. He didn't know where his family was, or if they were even still alive, and he certainly didn't know how to find them. In the end, he had little choice but to just... keep living. He hoped desperately that he would somehow stumble across his family, or otherwise be able to get his memories back, but he tried not to hold his breath too much. Doing so would only end in disappointment. Instead, he focused his attention on just moving forward. He hadn't had much of a goal in mind when he had begun hopping off in a random direction, but he was sure that eventually he would hit something important. As long as he could find things to eat and drink along the way, he would be fine.
The young rabbit had managed to mostly keep himself out of trouble on his journey, hiding away whenever a larger creature got too close. Eventually, though, he decided that he wanted to find a home. Somewhere that he could stay, so that he could stop wandering from place to place on his search for food. Not to mention, it would be nice to have some company who he knew didn't want to eat him. Or... at least, wouldn't eat him. And that was how he had ended up in the chasm of The Golden Eye, although not intentionally. He hadn't actually noticed the scent lines as he went hopping slowly through the ravine, tiny claws scraping against stone as the child moved along. His ears twitched with each step, an odd combination of ear and wing, covered in golden and red feathers. He made sure to keep his guard up, not wanting to end up getting snatched by some kind of predatory bird. The possibility seemed incredibly likely, considering the wide open spaces of the rocky plains.
Eventually, though, he was startled by something. Not by a large predatory bird looking for a tiny snack, but rather by the sound of footsteps approaching from nearby. Immediately able to feel his heart hammering in his chest, Rag frantically looked around him, blue gaze eventually honing in on a small area of underbrush. He darted into it, the leaves around him rustling as he hid himself away, petrified of what could be coming. As he saw a figure approaching, he hesitated only briefly before calling out, while still remaining hidden, "Hello...? I promise I didn't mean to intrude on anyone's territory! I was just looking for some plants to eat, and maybe a place to stay... please don't eat me." He might've seemed a bit on edge, but... he had a reason to be. Although he had only truly been "awake" for a couple of weeks now, he has gotten into numerous encounters with creatures just looking for a juicy rabbit-shaped snack.
