Vayne knew this day was coming, as much as she was fearful of when it would happen. It was only a matter of time before Aphra got tired of waiting for her to come back and would instead come and fetch Vayne to bring her 'home'. When the bell first rang, the Cipher spawn eagerly started to make her way towards the gate, but her excitement quickly dwindled when she caught sight of the familiar pure white fur along with a rose-tinted scent.
What Vayne didn't expect during this whole ordeal, however, was her crewmates coming to her defense. It seemed like they knew that Vayne was uncomfortable around Aphra, even if she herself didn't entirely understand why. The long-haired she-cat watched with wide eyes as Roan attacked her mother, subconsciously pressing herself against Diya's large body. "Pl-please don't hurt her..!" Vayne cried out, hearing both Roan and Roxanne's threats. Diya was right in saying that she still had affection for Aphra, as strange as it may seem; Vayne didn't want to see her mother hurt. The fact that Diya claimed her as her own surprised her, but she didn't say anything about that. Acting like she was surprised would likely fuel Aphra's desires on wanting her to return 'home'.
"I-I'm staying here, Mother. This is my home." Vayne tried to speak in a loud and clear voice towards Aphra, but she was sure her voice shook as she spoke. She was scared, she was worried, she had no idea what was going to happen next or if she was even safe as of this moment.[glow=COLOR,1,400] ━ ✧*:・゚[/glow]
