This hadn't originally been the plan. He hadn't meant to be carried along on top of Kal, following obediently behind Roxie as she went on and on about how great the Typhoon was and how he could get help for his wounds there. Wounds that, at this very moment, were stinging like a son of a bitch on top of itching like fire. After having a very nice conversation with Roxie, his intention had been to turn around and go straight back to the Pitt for rest. He hadn't technically achieved his goal of causing any trouble like he had set out to do, but he had at least made a friend and kept himself occupied, so that was good enough for him. Unfortunately, he hadn't had his wounds tended to in a while, so the bobcat had ended up collapsing after maybe two steps, face planting right into the soft muddy ground of the longer lands. Roxie had been quick to spring into action after that, telling him to sit tight while she went and got Kal so that they could bring him to the Typhoon. After that... well, what was he supposed to do? Drag his ass back to the Pitt? It wasn't as if he had any real loyalty to there, and Roxie made the Typhoon seem like it was the greatest place on Earth, so... he had let her go get Kal, and now here he was, laying belly down on this huge scaly creature that by all rights should've been devouring him, but wasn't.
Before long, the strong scent of the sea invaded his nostrils, so sharp and new that he nearly fell off of Kal because of the intensity of it. He watched as they moved along what looked to be train tracks, a paw reaching out experimentally to scrape against the metal as they passed. He heard Roxie giggle behind him, and he felt the skin beneath his fur warm slightly in embarrassment. He didn't know why he was so fascinated by this place, but he was. Perhaps it was how much Roxie had hyped it up, or perhaps it was because it was so different from the Pitt. Either way, it took his mind off of the pain in his wounds, which was always welcome. He glanced around curiously, gently pressing his nose against the middle of Kal's back. Kal grumbled slightly at him, but he wasn't too worried about it, since it seemed as though Kal would loyally follow whatever Roxie said to him. It was kind of adorable, honestly, a huge beast like Kal under the control of a tiny creature like Roxie. It was sort of like him being the only one able to calm Trevor down back when they had been together. The thought made his heart ache, so he quickly distracted himself by looking up at the huge bell that lingered nearby. It was obviously for joiners, and he found himself wincing as Roxie rang it for help.
Stretching his legs out a little and ignoring the sting that accompanied the action, Michael stumbled his way off of Kal's back a little clumsily. He eventually came to a seat beside the large creature, glancing at Roxie and questioning softly, "So... this is the place you were telling me about? The Typhoon?" He was glad that the scent of the Pitt on his pelt was muddled, somewhat hidden by the messy scents of mud, the loner lands in general, and now the scent of Roxie and Kal as well. Although, he wouldn't lie if anybody asked him if he was formerly from the Pitt. After all, it was just as he had thought before. He had no real loyalty to them, and just from the get go, this place seemed much, much nicer. One thing he was very grateful for was that he made sure to bring his bag along with him everywhere, which meant he didn't have to go all the way back to the Pitt in order to grab his stuff. He already had his aviators perched atop his nose, and his jewelry adorning his entire upper body and neck and face, so hopefully even in his slightly prone state, he'd look nice enough for the pirates here.
