Captured again? Izuku pauses to blink at Killua, somewhat surprised. He knew captures happened, of course -- and tortures, like with Loveletter, but he hadn't realize the Typhoon had done anything of the sort. Was that what'd happened? That was ... ah, a little unfortunate. Just more reason to be careful around the Typhoon, at least alone -- he had to be mindful of the alliance they were trying to form and all that. For Izuku's lack of opinions on the matter, allies were pretty useful. So with this in mind, Izuku just nods in agreement.
In any case, Izuku isn't too worried about Killua's failure to comfort him. Izuku wasn't any good at comforting, either, despite any and all attempts at doing so. Besides, tree climbing was distracting enough that he'd forget about it very quickly even if it had stuck to him. Izuku didn't have a tendency of holding stuff against people, anyways -- fool him once, fool him twice, he'd still give you another chance unless the fault was just that bad.
Hearing Killua's tips, from higher up in the tree, Izuku does his best to listen. His tongue pokes out from his maw as he shifts his weight somewhat awkwardly, though he does nearly fall again doing so. He winces, but he does manage to secure himself a little better. As for his wings -- well, they weren't very useful right now, but the extra balance would be helpful. A little hesitantly, Izuku semi-unfurls his wings, because unfurling them entirely would not only defeat the purpose, but also get in the way. At least this way they would be quick to use.
Once he's resettled, Izuku hesitates before moving to continue his way up. His grip on the bark tightens for a moment, before he loosens it slightly as he pushes with his hind paws to hop up a little farther. He scrabbles a moment again, but steadies himself with a bit of shuffling. Izuku takes a breath and grins a little, feeling a little bubble of delight unfurl in his chest. Tree climbing, while a little nerve-wracking at the moment, would probably be fun in the future. Once he got the hang of it, basically. With this in mind, Izuku slowly but surely clambers his way up the tree , pace slowly picking up as he gains confidence. He doesn't really wait for Killua's instructions, but he is fixing little mistakes as he figures them out. He's getting a little tired, though, unused to using his muscles like this, and so he clambers his way onto the place where the tree kinda -- splits, once he gets there. The Maine Coon huffs, resisting the urge to shake his fur out on this odd perch, and instead turns to look at Killua with bright eyes. Partly for validation, mostly for input, and also because he's not sure if this was all or if there was a next step to this or something. (for the most part, izuku doesn't even consciously realize he does this? it was just something he sort of ... picked up, when it came to smaller training groups and whatnot.)
