[align=center][div style="width: 500px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 9.5pt; line-height: 1.4;letter-spacing:.1px"]It's kinda stupid that one person could be such a thorough tie to the world that without them, you were sorta left drifting. What right did the universe have to make someone so goddamn important? It — it wasn't even the important part that bothered him. It was the fact that it was all so temporary. He could find someone that meant the world to him, after a long fight to earn and keep it, and it'd be over just like that. One fucking screw-up, just a little mistake. 'Cept it blew up because it always did with Butch — their arguments always ended bloody, it felt like. He'd snap at his ear or bare his teeth and Butch would make some stupid ass comment and it's get worse. But they got over it. Usually. Last time they hadn't, and that's where that hatred for fate comes in. He's already lost a dad and the only other friends he's had. Now that Val's missing that last piece of the puzzle, he's floating in the middle of a tornado. It's like everything whirls around him, never quite touching, never quite real.
He can't settle anywhere, this is... try three? It's whatever, he hasn't stopped walking since he started. The golden German Shepherd has walked through low water on a rumor, hoping silently that he'd have a place here. His journey stops at the gate thing they have, eyes wandering curiously around the structure and to the bell — one that he doesn't ring, despite the curiosity that chases at his heels. It's not strong enough to cut through the apathy, in any case. Val's just vacant now, waiting for the world to catch up.
