Her first experience with the capture of another had gone rather badly, though her own paws had never found the one who had been dragged back it had left her heart to lurch into her throat, the sight of blood leaving her dizzy for a time. It was a response she was learning to deal with, slowly working through it for it had become necessary for her to work with, if not on a daily basis than more regular for she still had minimal training, yet this was different. To draw the blood of another, even an enemy, left a bad taste within her mouth she couldn't quite explain, something about the needless shedding sitting badly with the sage.

All the same it was a look of savage glee which curled about her lips, a smile with the edge of a knife though the dark eyes portrayed little, movement drawing to a halt by Cleo. Confusion touched her briefly when the earthy tone hit her, familiar now for it had come to mark her own pelt beneath the tang of salt, brow knitting together as the smile drooped, frown taking its place. Was this lion a healer in someway, or did he merely enjoy rolling about in flowers like an idiot.

For now Aita would hold her tongue, gaze briefly rising to touch upon Gabriel as the captive spoke to him with what seemed familiarity, curious as to what was going on here. Quickly she made up her mind to seek out Moon later, if he made it out of this alive, and question him some, wondering on what information she could glean from him if indeed he was a healer, more interested in this thought than the torture which played out before her.

[align=center][div style="width: 500px; text-align: justify; font-size: 9.4pt; line-height: 1.4;"]There Moon went, babbling; Gabe was convinced at this point that it was his sole defense mechanism, but in this situation, it was more likely to dig his hole deeper than shunt aside focus. In the meantime, Gabe chastised himself for even bothering to arrive; Moon knew him, and would take this as some grand sign of betrayal, but this place was the first one whose doorstep he showed up on. He couldn't be picky with a broken wing and gashed head. That, however, the hybrid would not explain to the lion, mostly because of the crowd, composed of people Gabriel didn't know or care for, who had no business in his business. "Captain Hook's the name you're looking for, kid." Gabe shifted his stance to lean back a bit, expression remaining fairly blank, and posture just as unassuming. He wouldn't say that the comment didn't sting, though. A snake, when he'd been quite literally tossed over The Ascendants' border by his own son while everyone'd stood around slack-jawed and stupid. "Maybe I am a snake, but you're a prisoner. Moral high ground won't get you out of this one."

    snare mortem —  male — wolf — typhoon — minnow — argus x npc
[div style="width: 51%; text-align: justify; font-size: 10pt; letter-spacing: 0px; font-family: georgia; color: #633c00;"]Snare did find himself flinching a tiny bit when the lion acknowledged him, pulling his fuzzy paw back as he crouched with the small crowd of crewmates.  The wolf pup, while trying in vain to appear big and strong, was still a mere minnow.  He tried to collect himself, lifting his chin up even as he pulled back.  Snare’s eyes would get big as the torture truly began, but he didn’t cry out or flee.  Snare did have a strong mind despite everything else and he wanted to prove himself as  big tough pirate member, especially in the presence of his other clanmates.

The chocolate furred wolf pup would look up at Argus, his own parent.  Snare took a moment to stare at her, taking in the image of his higher positioned parent.  Would he look like that one day?  Big and strong, with the wings he had seen on other crewmates?  He would have to wait.  The puppy would make a grin back at Argus, not quite looking as toothy or powerful.  He would find himself scooting closer to Argus, regaining his confidence as he lifted his chin up and held his head up as he sat straight.  This whole situation seemed to have a lot of drama going on, and he generally wanted to see what exactly his crewmates did with situations like this.
