Finally he had been able to complete his entrance ritual and was now a full crewmate of The Typhoon, but still the experience left him with fear in his heart and doubt in his mind. What if this was all an illusion and in reality he was back at their filthy laboratory, being experimented on while drugged to be asleep? Even though everything felt real he couldn't help but second guess what the truth really was. To him this might as well have been all an illusion. The last thing he remembered from Haven Island was a sharp pain in his back and being dropped to the ground to fall asleep. What if he was still asleep? Marcellus had been lying down in his hammock, eyes developing bags underneath. He had gotten no sleep last night after the experience he had, too scared to go to sleep just in case this all wasn't real and he would wake up. If this wasn't all real, he didn't want to wake up. No. He wanted to stay asleep for as long as he couldn't and he wasn't going to go to sleep to wake up if that made any sense.
The king cheetah shifted in his hammock, eyes beginning to close once he found a very comfortable position. Slowly he began to daze and frankly fell asleep. An hour passed before he woke up, the male shooting out of his hammock and onto the beach sand underneath. Oh lord he fell asleep. Yet, he was still here? Confusion washed over him as he looked around. He was still on the Barracuda Bay in the territory of The Typhoon. If he hadn't woken up then maybe this was actually reality and maybe he was actually safe. He lifted up a paw and unsheathed his claws to prick his other paw, wincing as he felt the sharp pain. Okay yeah, this reality and he was so happy he felt as if he could jump to the sun and back. He was actually safe, he did actually get away from the humans.
With relief, Marcellus sighed and leap back into his hammock, lying down and soaking up the sun.
