DEAR FRIEND as you know,  your flowers are withering
your mother's gone insane, your leaves have drifted away.
but the clouds are clearing up
and i've come reveling, burning incandescently,
like a bastard on the burning sea.

    YOU'RE JUST LIKE YOUR FATHER,
    BURIED DEEP UNDER THE WATER.
With a feast on her mind planned for later this month, the female was taking the opportunity to try many new recipes. Most mornings she'll walk out of the tempest's lower deck smelling like delicious food of all varying types, before going out and performing tasks to help out around the archipelago. The tigress, this afternoon, has decided to use some of that energy on a little food to share with everyone, a small event in mind. She prepares a plate of Cuban sliders using Hawaiian rolls, figuring the snack would be an easy treat to enjoy for everyone. Plus, every other time she's made sliders, they'd always been a big hit.

The female takes the plate out with her, along with several towels and plates for others to rest on along barracuda bay as they enjoyed the treats. She sets them along, humming a small tune, before grabbing her own slider and sitting down, tail curling around her paws. "Come get some sliders n' enjoy a question n' answer session wit' me n' any other crewmate who wants t' participate. Ask me questions, or your crewmates."
NOTHING'S EVER LOST  FOREVER,  IT'S  JUST  HIDING IN THE RECESS OF YOUR MIND AND WHEN YOU NEED IT,  IT WILL  COME  TO  YOU  AT  NIGHT.  I MISS THE YELLOW. I MISS THE  YELLING  AND  THE  SHAKEDOWN. I'M NOT COMPLAINING, NO,  I GOT A BETTER SET OF KNIVES NOW.  I MISS MY DRUMMER,  MY DEAD STEPBROTHER,  AND THE PIT CROWD.  AND CHUCK AND MATTY  -  IF  THEY  COULD  SEE    ME    THEY'D  BE  SO  PROUD.

It did not surprise her to find Goldenluxury close to the smell of food.  Many of the Rouxes seemed to enjoy cooking.  At the call for a q and a, the petite wildcat paused, ear flicking.  Truthfully, she wasn't so sure she had any questions.  Not for Goldie anyway.  She had grown up alongside the captain.

But she didn't mind humoring others in answering some questions, should they have any.  Humming softly in thought, the tiny dealer trotted over to join Goldie, smiling softly.  "Aloha, Goldie.  'an mahalo."  Keona hardly ate much, but she enjoyed trying the things her crewmates made.

"I don' mind answering questions too, if anyone has any."

The sweet smell of Hawaiian rolls and ham radiated from afar. Alexandre's nose turned to the sky, sniffing anxiously to find the intriguing scent. Once finding the captain's trail, his wings unfolded. A hop skip and a jump led the kitten into the sky. Though his flight was shaky and uncoordinated, he still managed to find the gathering in no time. Light paws stumbled to the floor. He managed to land with ease and wander next to the blind dealer. Orange eyes surveyed the plate in front of him and pushed an acceptable slider towards himself.

Gentle jaws carried his plate back to his beach towel. Alexandre settled down towards the front, staring down Goldenluxury in interest. Before he spoke, he took a nibble of his sandwich. "Thank you," the kitten started off with. "It's delicious." His stomach turned momentarily and a definitive grumble sounded out. Strange. He merely offered a sheepish smile. Alexandre had been having issues eating for awhile, but how could he deny this luxury? This golden ham luxury.

His wings wrapped around his body, protecting his pale skin from the bright sun, and he curled up comfortably onto the towel. Alexandre wasn't sure what to ask. "Can I get a tattoo yet?" was a suitable question, but not appropriate for this occasion. Lowering his head to his paws, he looked out to the horizon while in thought. In the middle of chewing, an idea struck. "What's your greatest fear, miss Luxury?" he piped up. "You're so strong... You have to be afraid of something BIG!" That was a child's ignorance though.

As for Keona, the winged feline wasn't so sure. He didn't know the wild cat as well as Goldenluxury, but he knew of her importance and rank. "Can you tell me about the Blackjack Rats, Keona?" came his soft mutter. Alexandre would need to pick his division soon enough, after all.

    IF MY LIFE IS GOING
    TO MEAN ANYTHING,
    I HAVE TO LIVE IT
    MYSELF.

Seapaw would approach, a pleased hum leaving him at the site of snacks. He would weave his way behind the group to where the plate was, scooping up one of the small sliders and popping it into his mouth. Chewing as he walked, he would approach his mom and lean against her, sliding down until only his head was pressed against her and he was laid across the sand. Slowing his sandwich, round ears would twitch as his listen to the conversation. "I'll answer some questions too" he comments, wishing to himself he'd have grabbed a plate and a couple more sliders.

It was too late at this point, he was comfortable, and his mom's side against his cheek was nice. Getting up when cuddling your mother was a criminal offense. His large tail thumped idly as he racked his brains for questions. His gaze moved to Keona first, mismatched eyes watching the dealer. "What do you like about being a dealer, Keona?" he asked, satisfied with his question. He did want to ask them all something, so he had two more to go. He didn't know Alex well but knew they were family. Second cousins or something like that. Humming lightly, he would look at the kitten. "Have you gotten to go swimming in the ocean yet?" he asked, deciding that he didn't want to ask the child anything too complex.

He would then move his head, the bottom of his muzzle pressed against Goldenluxury's side. "I gotta question for ya, Momma. If you weren't the captain, what do you think you'd be doing?"

pills don't help, but it sure is funny!  ☆  ☆  ☆
    MICHAEL TOWNLEY
    THE TYPHOON
    DEALER
"The Blackjack Rats are the best division in The Typhoon, obviously." Michael's voice cut through the air as he made his way over, drawn over by the scent of the sliders that Goldie had made. He hadn't answered the entirety of Alexandre's question – mainly because it was directed at Keona – but that was genuinely how he felt. Although each of the divisions within The Typhoon had a purpose, the thief couldn't help thinking that his own division was the greatest. After all, it not only had him in charge, but Keona as well – he liked to think they worked well together at covering all the bases, considering how wildly different they were. With his short tail twitching behind him, the bobcat sat down nearby, a content hum leaving him before he questioned Goldie, "There was a captain before you, right Goldie? Your dad, right? What was he like?" Michael felt pretty curious about the guy, since he had only ever heard his name – Pincher. He had to be fairly impressive, considering he had managed to raise someone like Goldie.

Reaching out a paw, the thief managed to snatch one of the sliders for himself, taking a large bite of it before a rumbling purr left him. After a lack of his chops, he spoke to those around him, chuckling, "I suppose you all can ask me questions, too. I'm really not all that interesting though, especially since any dealer questions can go to Keona or myself. Speaking of..." He looked towards Keona, smirking slightly mischievously at his fellow dealer – even if she couldn't see it, "Keona, how do you think I've been doing as a dealer?" He didn't really think he had been doing badly, although he did continue to avoid Tanglewood like the plague. Besides that, he had been around plenty, and had made an effort to complete his duties. Then again, it made sense that he would think he was doing a good job, so a second opinion would be nice – and he didn't think someone like Keona would be too harsh.

your mother's gone insane, your leaves have drifted away.
but the clouds are clearing up
and i've come reveling, burning incandescently,
like a bastard on the burning sea.

    YOU'RE JUST LIKE YOUR FATHER,
    BURIED DEEP UNDER THE WATER.
"Do you have a favorite sound?" the female would first ask Keona, deciding it would be a good enough question. It's not like she could ask the standard question of if she had a favorite color, and sounds can be a bit more personal, a bit more interesting and complex.

"Don' ya know? 'm not afraid o' anythin!" she'd tease with a hearty chuckle, taking a moment before shaking her head softly. "Mm, nah, 'm mos' afraid o' bein' alone." Goldie then explains honestly. She decides not to dwell too deep into it, figuring such a subject was not necessary for such an event. It was something she'd considered her greatest fear since she was young, being thrusted from her mama's side with her brother, forcing them to find a more suitable shelter. She found solace in her papa, even if he didn't share the emotion at first. And being surrounded by family, it was only natural she could not imagine such a world where she'd be without them. If she was, that would surely mean she'd failed in some great capacity.

It was an interesting question, what Sea would ask at her side. She settles in for a moment, not responding immediately to think on it. To be frank, she'd always been on track to be captain, even if she'd not necessarily aimed for such a title. When she'd originally climbed through the ranks at such a young age, she'd only been doing so to help her papa, to make the workload less stressful for him. But, if she ultimately had not been captain, if maybe Bakugou had gotten her position, as he'd been promoted with her before as quartermaster, maybe she would find time to do what she'd always wanted to. "Maybe explore the oceans, travel t' great, faraway seas. Discoverin' more, n' recordin' it, for m' papa. So he could see it whenever he returns." She settles on with a small nod. "But honestly, hon, I had been kinda born for this role."

"You're damn right is' the best division." She'd jokingly agree at Michael's comment about blackjack rats with a small wink. Considering it was also the female's division, she obviously had a bias as well. She'd loved her role as dealer, even if she did not always get to make all the final shots due to her papa's own paranoia and her constant injuries back when she'd held the role.

"M' papa is the greatest man 've ever known, although quite foolish. He was cold t' strangers, n' pretty reserved, even though he was charismatic n' cunning. He loved his family, n' went t' great lengths t' protect 'em. He never stopped workin', was a great teacher, n' always knew how t' make me feel better." He was, in the end, why Goldie was who she was, albeit she was a jumbled mix of him and every other major figure in her life growing up. Her papa, her dad, her aunt, crewmates, everyone. There was a lot she could say about him - memories she could recount as if they'd happened just yesterday, could still feel his touch, smell his mixture of smoke and sea, hear his commanding voice turn soft. And it was clear the captain had more to say, but she kept her mouth shut for now. She didn't want to talk their ears off unless they requested such a thing to be done.

Keona blinked, turning her pale gaze in the direction of Alexandre's voice.  A sensible question.  The petite fae smiled softly.  She may have volunteered to humor everyone with answers, but that didn't change how she felt about small talk in general.

"Thin' of us as the community division."  That felt a little formal... Especially compared to Michael and Goldie's replies.  But they were more excitable than her. "It's up to us to manage social relations, both 'ere and with our allies."

"If you like bein' there for your crewmates 'an bringin' them together, but aren' much of a healer, or find much appeal in a fight, then I'd say we're the best division."  She still remembered her beta ceremony, sitting at the edge of the volcano.  Weighing her options.  Small stature and a lack of sight made the Grim Rays feel daunting.  Nor did she feel inclined to learn every herb and remedy.

"'an of course there's a field of the division we don' talk about much," she added with a conspiratory wink.

Her head tilted towards Seapaw.  What was she liked about being a dealer? Keona would never say she had ever been the ambitious type.  Climbing the ranks had came with the time and dedication, more than a drive to be on top.

She hummed softly. "To be honest, I like bein' in the know."  To that end, perhaps it was no surprise she loved books so much.

As Michael spoke, Keona turned a critical and thoughtful 'eye' on him.  It was strange to be working with another dealer.  So much time had passed with her running the division alone.  "You do jus' fine," she answered simply, the tip of her tail flicking.  "I believe you are more social than me, which is good."

A balance in personalities.  So far, she felt as though it had been productive.

'Do you have a favorite sound?'  She nodded, turning to the ocean, rather than her captain as she spoke, voice soft.  "When everythin' is quiet.  'cept for the water."

The tiny fae had been born on the open ocean, rocked asleep by the waves aboard a pirate ship.  It was in her blood.  Her soul.
