It had been a while since Michael had a one on one conversation with Roxie. That wasn't to say that they hadn't seen each other. No, they had seen each other plenty, both at the tavern and elsewhere. But they hadn't really had a chance to have a heart to heart, not since Trygve ran away. The bobcat had taken notice of how his sister was struggling, and her being in a less than ideal place had begun to affect him as well. It was strange, how a bastard thief like him that had once only cared for himself and one other person was now feeling shitty just because of the emotions of his family. It almost would've been surreal, if he wasn't living it firsthand. He had attempted to cheer her up in his own ways – namely drinking, since that had always made him feel better in the past – but that hadn't gone so well, generally just ending with her grumbling about how she hated him while she held her head, hungover. He still hadn't entirely given up on that avenue, but he also knew he had to try something else. Something a little more... touchy feely, as loathe as he was to attempt it.
With this in mind, Michael had decided to go to his sister's home, Princess perched between his shoulder blades as he padded along. He knew just how much Roxie loved the pregnant rat, and he figured that her presence alone would put the draconic feline in a semi-decent mood. At least, he could hope. He had taken notice of just how much her moods were fluctuating these days, thanks to people disappearing on her. The thought made him wince, and he took a deep breath before moving to her front door. When he sat back on his haunches, Princess scrambled up to his shoulder, sniffing around eagerly. There might've even been something akin to a sense of familiarity in her eyes, since he had brought her over plenty of times before. Snorting a little bit at his rat companion, the thief rose a paw, knocking it against the front door before meowing, "Roxie? You in there? I came over to talk. Plus I've got Princess with me." If she was in one of her down moods, it was completely possible that she'd just ignore him – Princess was meant to be a sort of fail safe, to prevent that.
