The sun was a searing hot against her scales. It mattered not that summer was falling prey to the cold of fall. A desert was a desert, and in the daytime it was just as ferociously hot. Such was it's purpose, a barrier to keep curious creatures and opponents from entering. Wooden spikes did little to stop a creature that soared high over them. The sun baked her purple scales: her form that had once been made to only handle the darkest night. She was not used to the blazing sun. She was made to be a creature of the night, to strike when other's couldn't see. Swiftly it had been discovered that her night vision had gone awry. It was little better than how it had been as a youth and it irritated her to no end.
Aslisk rolled her head. Her shoulders were sore from being kept open for so long. The heat of the desert allowed for her to glide most of the way. She had decided on this direction and would not back out of it now. She knew something was awry. She knew that the lack of arms, the new spike on her forehead, her webbed ears, and the lack of fur on her tail. The lessened amount of spikes and the formation of more teeth than before were changes that she could handle. Her memories being skewed, though? She drew the line there.
Her head craned down, looking at where the jungle began to form where the desert faded. Her wings pressed closer to her sides to drop her into a swift fall. The talons extended, and latched on to a sturdy branch. The wings then spread open to slow the rest of her fall. A wince took over her body, then giving herself a shake. "In hindsight, this should have probably snapped," the wyvern muttered. Her vibrant purple scales stood out against the green and brown colors of the trees. With her descent slowed, her body then leaned forward. Aslisk glided down to the ground, talons scuffing at the ground. The blue webbing of the ears twitched and raised. Hearing something, her form swiftly curled closer. "Hello?" Aslisk's tone was barely greater than a hiss, feeling her long tongue scrape roll against the front teeth. That, too, was another abnormality. She loathed such a thing. Her head lowered, a snarl tugging at the corners of her maw, looking slowly between the trees for the source of the noise of another creature approaching.
