Anthemtalon was hungry. He'd been asleep for quite some time now, and when he woke up he was so very, very hungry. Not bothering to give anyone he passed so much as a glance because to Anthem, his belly came first rather than social interaction. Self perseverance came first. He was hungry, and he wasn't anywhere near where the food was typically kept. A problem, sure, but something that survival instincts could work around. While likely nobody with high sentient thought would think of it, the basic lizard was driven by instinct and a need for the particular food that he liked.
There had been a battle here. He'd slept through it, not helping as his peers died. Not much the lizard would've done had he been awake, too sluggish to fight all the fast moving opponents. Many had died on both sides, and that was what brought Anthemtalon away from camp. Buried carcasses of those that had passed, shoved out of the way. Whether they were his peers or those that had invaded, it would be fair game for the lizard. Talons hooked through slush and snow until they reached dirt, and then he dug further and further. Unearthing Typhooner and Coalitioner, one and the same, not caring about the specifics other than needing to eat.
Not even bones would be left in the lizard's wake as he shuffled around where the combatants had been buried. Just the holes of the lizard's claws and earth elementals, as he hooked his jaws around another unfortunate carcass and heaved it out of the hole to eat. A talon rested over the NPC, his head turned, teeth gripped down, and he began tearing into another meal.
