A meeting? How curious. While the word spread around, her interest was captured as everyone began to herd away somewhere. Unable to help herself, she followed, looking around at the gathering crowd as she took a seat, wondering what was about to unfold.

While he had no intent to disobey tradition, there was the thought that he'd look silly with jewels dangling from his face, an image of vanity that he did not possess. The kodiak holds out his metal paw, turns it over. In the metalwork are driven-in bolts, wires protruding from the joints that whir softly as he opens and closes his faux-claws. There would be a spot there, somewhere, to carry the gems Goldenluxury spoke of - a loop he could affix it to, or a spot that would take some welding with enough heat and careful work. Perhaps he wouldn't pierce his own skin because of the marks that already adorned his face, or it would just take time to warm up to the idea. For now, his arm would suffice to bear the identification she wished to bestow.

He listens, still contemplating the announcements. That was his name on the leader's tongue, wasn't it? Ahab, a sage among the ranks. He blinks, slow - it's a title for the books, he thinks, among all the less pleasant names he'd carried in the past. Telling her that no, his participation in the tryouts was only for the benefit of others, feels wrong when she put forth the time to recognize him; he'll take her word for it that he is capable of handling the lives of others.

Like both a demigod and an executioner, he can give life and take it away. The power stirs something like roiling fear in his heart.

Aphra's main interest in Goldenluxury's announcements were the whole earring thing. She already wore hoop earrings but they were getting old at this point - it would be nice to replace them, actually. What's even better is that those earrings would be able to hold charms too, which sounded absolutely fantastic. Goldenluxury mentioned their divisions though, which made Aphra frown in thought a little. Did she even belong to a division? No, she couldn't recall ever joining one. Maybe that's something she could look into.

The promotions were next and Aphra couldn't help but feel a little bit of jealousy stir in her as Goldie announced Michael and Octane as Privateers, but not her. The white she-cat idly flexed her claws, a soft hum escaping her, before she quietly let out, "Congratulations."[glow=COLOR,1,400] ━ ✧*:･ﾟ[/glow]

Throughout the entire meeting, she listened with interest as the golden tiger spoke. When the topic of earrings was brought up, Gamelia ducked her head awkwardly. She had no idea that the bracelets were a thing. It didn't matter anymore, as they had been replaced with earrings.

Now, she wasn't much for jewelry in the first place - it just wasn't her thing. All of that aside, she didn't exactly... have ears. Not in the sense of everybody else. What was she to do? Hoping it wasn't mandatory would be her best bet.

Michael's eyes widened a bit when he heard his own name leave Goldie's mouth. He was promoted to privateer? Holy shit, that was... surprising. He had known he was around quite a bit, but that much? It kinda warmed his cold dead insides, just a little bit. He said softly, smiling up at her awkwardly, "All of that is noted... thanks for the promotion, Goldie. I promise I'll do my best." At the same time, Roan was grinning with excitement, his eyes gleaming with pride as he pressed against his mother's side. He said cheerfully, his small wings flapping, "Thank you, cousin Goldie! I promise I'll make sure that everybody is nice and safe." A job as sage? He could do that! He had applied for it, after all. He only hoped that he could make sure everyone was happy and healthy, without any issues.
