☆ HUNG PICTURES OF PATRON SAINTS UP ON MY WALL TO REMIND ME THAT I AM A FOOL. TELL ME WHERE I CAME FROM, WHAT I WILL ALWAYS BE: JUST A SPOILED LITTLE KID WHO WENT TO CATHOLIC SCHOOL —
Perhaps it had been a little bit insulting, being asked by Beck if he had gained some weight recently. He had, but it was hardly for any of the reasons that Beck probably could've conjured up, unless the spirit somehow miraculously jumped to pregnancy. Still, Aurum hadn't snapped at the other for two reasons. One, he didn't want to damage the relationship between he and Beck more than it already had been by him... well, doing whatever he had done to damage it in the first place – he still wasn't really clear on that, to be honest. Two, he hadn't exactly told anybody except Moth yet that he was pregnant, so he could hardly blame Beck for just assuming that he had been getting a bit pudgy thanks to eating too much. Besides, it wasn't as if the task that he had been assigned because of it had been awful or anything. Exercise was good for everyone, and while he probably shouldn't be doing any particularly intense workouts – the thought of hurting the cubs filling him with extreme anxiety – that didn't mean he couldn't get a little bit of jogging in, and encourage others to do the same with him. After all, all of them had gotten a bit lazy when it came to physical stuff as of late, especially with the sudden absence of Miller shouting in their ears.

The angel hadn't done too much to prepare for this little exercising endeavor, considering it was just sort of a spur of the moment task done thanks to Beck. The tigon had just cleared out a little bit of a path through the forest that they could use for jogging, making sure there wasn't any huge logs blocking the way or massive muddy pits to fall into. Once he had a suitable circuit for a group to go around, Aurum returned back to camp, stretching out beneath the son to loosen his muscles before he straightened back up, calling out, "Hey, if anybody wants to do some jogging and exercising, come over here! We've all been getting a little idle lately thanks to winter, and it's finally starting to warm up again, so..." He shrugged his thin shoulders as his tail came to wrap around fluffy paws, the proxy patiently waiting for some others to arrive. He was glad that his stomach swelling was – for the most part, anyways – hidden by his thick coat, which meant he wasn't any bigger than when Beck had first assigned him the task. It would've looked a bit hypocritical, seemingly fattening up while telling everyone else that they needed a workout.

you can be an angel of mercy, or give in to hate. you can try to fight it, just like every other careless mistake.
