Alright so the guide is a bit out of date with the traditions, so let's discussing adding some! This is mostly spitballing rn so let me know what you guys think.

    - Slaves Earning their Freedom
Right now, it doesn't make much sense how a slave becomes 'free,' so I was thinking we would add some traditions to that. Ex -- a slave who has proven themself capable (by being clever, outright asking to prove loyalty, ect) is sent out in the desert wastes with just enough supplies to get back to the camp. They can flee if they want; but if they do, there's usually someone watching and tracking them from below in the tunnels to stop them, unknown to the character.
This could be posted as a oneshot or just backwritten to be assumed to happen.

    - Why slavery?
Since they're located next to a jungle, they actually are in the perfect location for stuff that requires slave labor (at least, traditionally, by human society standards). We could add that the group has a cocoa / cane sugar / coffee plantation? IDK. It'd give them something to trade for, and if we go with coffee, then we can add other coffee things like them being obsessed with coffee lmao

    - Revamp on the Combat system
So in the Pitt you can challenge people for their ranks, but we could solidify that a little bit more? We could make it simple that anyone can challenge anyone for anything -- but the challenged is allowed to make up any rules they choose, and the challenger can only choose the time of the challenge.

Yes, I love all of these! It would also be interesting to have some sort of unification ceremony; like each new members puts their pawprint on a desert wall or somethin' like that when they've proven their loyalty

as far as slaves earning their freedom as well, I like the idea, but I also think it should be kept as open ended as possible. Like, if a slave asks to be free then they are given the right to try, but on the other hand, Rhia straight up killed her Master and earned her freedom (and a punishment for killing a Pittian) that way

i rlly like all the ideas posted here!! and i also kind of agree with quill. since the pitt values strength and loyalty, i feel like there would definitely be many ways they could prove themselves. maybe some celebrations for certain things, like winning a war or raid?? they could have sparring events and everything

[glow=#000,2,300]☣ —[/glow] slaves could always prove their loyalty by killing an enemy (almost like how rhia did) and if they escape during the process, a man hunt is set out for them... bounties???

    !! good opinions
i'll add in the proving loyalty stuff + use what i and u guys suggested as examples, so people can use them if they can't think of anything else. but yeah it'll be really open ended

ALSO because we were a lil bit dumb about not actually writing in the guide where most people live
i wanna put treehouses in the jungle and keep the caves as a place to live, are there any other suggestions for that?
bc tbh i like the pitt being chaotic as fuck, and part of that is "oh you wanna live inside a beehive? okay, sure"

[align=center][div style="0px; width:600px; height:auto; text-align: justify; font-size: 10pt; line-height:13px;"]personally i like all the ideas mentioned so far! in addition, i think it'd be cool to have a main activity hub as well as designated places for people to stay. For example, maybe the area in the middle of the three pyramids is where you can usually find the most people at the same time, just milling about and stuff. The caves and other housing areas could be a bit quieter than the main chatting area, if that makes sense

its not extremely unique, but maybe they could have some sort of defining jewelry as well? like how the ascendants has the pendants and the typhoon has the charm bracelets. maybe since the pitt is somewhat more Aggressive than the other groups, they could take up making armor or jewelry out of bones? or they could have skull masks that they wear during battles and maybe during events. they could also paint the skulls with unique designs as another tradition, like maybe after every new member or slave has proved their loyalty, they get a mask and get to paint it however they like ;0
