Sunhaven, quite simply put it, was dreamy.
A peaceful town, located on a backdrop of a vast celestial belly of the clear sky, streaked down with defiant oranges and pricking demure purple. Their dens sat on the gentle bobbing sway and of unhurried water. Something straight from a picture book, speaking the gilded tongues of romance and adventure.
Aphro had never quite seen anything like it before.
That was, to say, that she and her pack had arrived at the perfect time, unable to bear witness to the demeaning flood that had wrecked their sleepy, peaceful little town.
And Rho was ultimately bored. It was to be expected with her healthy dollop of youth and short attention span. These days, her body itched with a certain kind of urge. Before, the size of her pack provided all she needed as the catalyst for companionship and motivation, but like a sudden, irritable strike of a bol of mercy-starved lightning, her world had quickly been halved.
And the ensuing wait for the missing other was utterly agonizing, needles prickling her skin. With the present number of the pack dwindled, and only Tao, Asteria and Paxton within her presence, Rho quickly found herself shying away from the idea of vexing her clanmates further with her pretenses of fun. Their family was still split, and they were thrashing in the sea of distress. Her playful notions could serve as a distraction, but at the moment, Rho figured it would be best to let them stew.
The omega's snarled teeth gnashed against another in utter boredom, ivory glinting against ivory in a flash of fearsome keratin. She had bumbled her way onto the boardwalk of the town, and though the air tasted of cold from winter's soon-to-be birth, the demoness had taken the luxury of sunbathing until she could find something worthwhile of her time.
