The Past
In a past life, Amun, who at the time was named Husani, fell ill with tuberculosis and was going to die. Your character was someone very close to him (family member, romantic partner, friend, etc) was desperate to keep him alive, no matter what cost it was to them. They found a way to attach his soul to a god's, one that relatively young and therefore wouldn't notice the difference. Your character went through this process but failed to anticipate that Husani, or Amun as he is called now, would lose all his memories of his old life and that his soul would become unstable. If he dies in this form, his soul will be left to float in fractured pieces and they would never see each other again, not even in the afterlife. This also made it so, despite having saved Husani's life, your character would never be able to contact him again. Not only that, but the entire exchange had attracted the attention of some other unhappy celestial beings and your character began to worry someone would try kill Amun and the goddess he's hosted in. Realizing this, your character took it upon themselves to follow Amun. Somehow, they achieved immortality and were able to chase him beyond the afterlife and into the realm of the gods. Your character has no idea where Amun's soul went after the transfer and spends many years searching for him. Finally, somehow, they narrow down the realm and arrive in Tanglewood, searching for him. However, they have no idea what he goes by or what he looks like. They might be able to identify him by his voice and by the symbol he wears (the shen), which was one used regularly when they asked various religious and medical to try and help him. It also likely would've been on the symbol of his tomb, had he been given one. Regardless of if they recognize him or not, Amun won't have any memories of them and may or may not believe them when addressed with the problem at hand.
The Present
Your character has arrived in Tanglewood and is still searching for Husani/Amun. It is completely up to you how long it takes them to realize who Amun really is. He has memories in the forms of dreams and of his spirit wandering when he's forced into Amunet's mind but he doesn't currently believe they're real. Should you be interested in the character, we'll discuss further what plots will come with him trying to remember your character. It will likely be a very, very long plot between them as he currently only trusts Amunet and would be suspicious of anyone claiming to know him. However, I do plan on him at least recovering some memories of your character, if not all of them, over time. [font=georgia]The Form
You can fill out the form however you like but please include the basics (name, gender, appearance, personality) as well as these things: - What kind of immortal being they are
- Their relationship with Amun/Husani (friendship, romantic, or familial)
- If they were in a romantic relationship, Amun is pansexual and panromantic so they may be any gender.
- Keep in mind this would have all taken place in Ancient Egypt. However, your character (as long as they aren't Husani/Amun's family) can be from any ancient civilization that would have interacted with Egypt frequently at the time.
- Feel free to modify the history or flesh it out more to fit your character! While I want to keep the aspect of Amun being sickly and them saving him, a lot of this is open to interpretation. For example, your character could have had anterior motives for keeping him alive or could've already been an immortal being that didn't want him to die or whatever you can think of! Just make sure to include those extra details/modifications in your form.
- If you have any questions, feel free to either DM me or just post on this thread!
