Pale blue eyes watched the the other children shoot after the ball, laughing and playfully pushing each other away in an attempt to get the upper hand.

The young leopard cub took a step forward, then back, unsure if she should join in, before the ball rolled towards her, and the others froze, and the few moments seemed to feel like forever, for both her and them, as she carefully rolled the ball towards them, and offered them that unnatural grin she had. Like she didn't know how to act.

It seemed, in nature, it was almost instinct to not accept those who were classified as 'too different', due to not being able to be absolutely sure you could trust them. Somebody with different goals, somebody who didn't blink at death. That was Thea. She was always classified as 'too different'.

No matter how perfect the society was, there would always be the black sheep, somebody who was looked down upon, and Thea had been the one unlucky enough to draw the short straw. She had been the black sheep.

"Can I play, too?" That bubbly tone, mixed with that unsettling grin, probably was what finally got a response from them, as they scrambled away towards their parents, who shot the unaware cub dirty looks.

And she could only look down, tears threatening to spill as she watched the abandoned ball roll towards her, before a smile began to form.

    Smile, it'll be alright.

    Smile, it'll be alright.

    Smile, it'll be alright.

But here, in the Ascendents, it was a new chance for her, at least, that was what Thea thought. It was probably impossible to completely fix something, no, someone, who was so broken, not in body, but in mind.

    SUITE
    HEART
Suiteheart, in truth, had never thought of herself as different. Sure, there were things that set her apart from others, but she hardly paid them any mind. Though perhaps that was because she had had her memories altered in her early life. That aside, the white feline wasn't sure if she would even care. Being different wasn't always a bad thing anyway.

The best thing was just trying to find like-minded individuals. Suiteheart had found them first in the city. A group of four boys around her age. They'd taken her in and treated her like family. She still thought about them from time to time too. The next group she had found that accepted her was her old group, similar to this one. Not a day went by when she wasn't thinking about them.

"Hey, Thea," the ivory feline called, padding over to the leopard. She offer her a warm, lopsided grin as she sat down beside her. "What's up?" The other seemed a bit lost in thought, but Suiteheart couldn't blame her. After all, she did that sort of thing quite often.
