Ever since the discovery of the hatch that amounted to nearly the entire roof of the Observatory, Starrynight had kept it open. He took great comfort in the sight of the sky above, even when in his home. It upset him when the clouds rolled in overhead, dark with anger as they began to drip into the complex. He'd been forced to close the ceiling hatch, paw pressing the button with a set frown as the horrid squeal of metal rumbled through the Observatory. It wasn't much long after when the rain began to pour down in sheets.
Everyone had settled down into their rooms below, in the underground complex. Starrynight had chosen the control room as his residence. The sound of the roaring wind and pounding rain could be heard echoing through the empty grand circle. He couldn't see the sky tonight- the stars weren't with him to comfort him while he slept. A sense of loneliness sent fear striking into his heart. Claustrophobia slowly set in as he pushed his way out of his room, hastily scrambling into the Grand Circle. He stared at the flickering, glowing aura his forepaws gave off, but it offered little relief from the irrational fears that were plaguing him at that moment.
When wind abruptly tore through the open room before settling still, the Astral Seraph looked up to faintly see the main entrance slamming shut. Who was there? Pulling in a shuddering breath, he struggled to compose himself as he willed himself to move forward and approach the stranger. They seemed to have been caught out in the storm, and was seeking shelter. Once close enough for his paws to faintly illuminate the figure of a canine, he called out softly. "H-hello? Were you caught out in the storm? I don't think I've ever seen you before. My name's Starrynight... I'm the leader here. This is the Ascendants' home. Can I help you? Do you need something to dry off with?"
