IT'S NOT TOO LATE
IT'S NEVER TOO LATE!
IT'S NEVER TOO LATE!

It had come to many members' attention that Ares didn't have a house. To the most part, she stayed under a tree or in a cave, on the rare occasion she'd be under a porch. In her eyes, she wasn't supposed to have a house. She burned her last one down. It made sense for her to just sort of drift around. Like snow.
The lioness grumbled as she curled up under a tree, eyes shut and breaths steady. Asleep, for the most part, she'd been. She stirred sometimes, under the guise of a dream or nightmarish vision. But mostly, she was sleeping. Until a cold feeling shook her awake, a startled gasp leaving her. A gasp of panic, and then wonder. She looked at her back, at the feathers she grew to like, at the white dusting that had apparently fallen from the tree above. Her heterochromatic eyes looked to the earth around her, finding it white. And fluffy. Was it really snow? Had it really snowed?
She stood up, cautious for a second. A childish wonder had filled her -- one she had never truly felt, not even as a child. Snow. She'd never seen it, never experienced it. Yeah, she experienced cold, and cold rain, but never snow. She stepped onto the cold substance, feeling it crunch under her paw. She took her paw and dragged it over the snow, looking at the marks in wonder before just flopping into the snow. Nice and cold.
