it had been so long since he had been in the pitt. it was an odd thing, after seeing aurum again and feeling like his whole world was being turned upside down.. he was sure that was more aurum than him, he wasn't exactly the most feeling person, but it was still.. odd. he just wanted to wander freely, but the feeling of fear in himself was overwhelming. what if he ran into jervis? of course, he was unaware that he was not around anymore.. standing at the very edge of the trees, he slowly lowered his invisibility, letting his eyes scan the tree."home.. home?"

was this home? he wasn't sure, but he felt like he needed to come back to keep his cover. he couldn't let tanglewood know him and aurum were seeing each other again, or that he was even alive, so this was the best he'd be getting. "fuck.."

The tiger wasn’t exactly the quietest thing at the moment. At least in comparison to sweet nothing, there was a difference. Especially to ears who were actively listening for such.

Today Kydobi had been on his way to visit the more barren side of the peninsula he called home. Something the two brutes shared in common evidently. Kydobi couldn’t help but hear and see a rather darker look man at the borders.

Kydobi swallowed a lump in his throat. The man was large. Even though Kydobi greatly outgrew any normal jaguar and rivales Aurum he could not rival a male tiger. Especially fully grown.

At least in just matters of size. Kydobi could handle his own and should a fight occur... well then nature would see to the winner. But the panther was smart enough to avoid such things when possible. It was a necessity for him to stay as healthy as possible.

Kydobi chuffed, alerting the brute of his presence, hopefully they would join. They posed a threat yes. But he could greatly use the brawn and assistance.

“Home? Have you resided here before? I cannot recall your face.. although I feel I’ve seen you before.”, he said politely as he neared. Giving the man well enough space, “I’m Kydobi.”

His hues would briefly assess and admire the powerhouse before him. A valuable asset for sure. Already partial towards grander felines, special traits especially caught his sharp eyes. Like a painter admiring the work of another artist.

immediately, his ears pinned back, having not expected to be found so quickly. he didn’t recognise this person, but they were quick to introduce themselves. kydobi. the name was partially familiar, said once or twice in the time he was here, but never had he seen the big car before him. he seemed to be examining him, which made what little fur there was on his neck stand on end.

how was he supposed to respond? maybe he should tell the truth, but after his romp with aurum, talking hurt a bit too much for full sentences. “yes. draekon.” he growled out, voice rough and cracked. it made him wince and clear his throat. he hated the sound of it.

Blunt. Kydobi felt a slight internal drag when he realized this person may not be the best communicator. But throw him in with the rest. They already had Nikolai and Astiar anyways, not like the group was new to such things.

He didn’t notice the tiger tense up but he did feel a change of air even if minor. Kydobi cleared his throat and sighed, “You wish to join? If so you’re probably not going to be liked by others- especially tanglewood. Things aren’t easy here, they’re harder than they used to be and our enemies are far from leaving us alone.”

Kydobi looked into their eyes, searching.

“But there is a lot of kids here. We can’t just throw them away and we won’t either. So now that you’re knowing this what is your answer?”

"i.. i've lived here before." he stated, his voice immediately deciding to give out. his eyes closed as he grimaced, knowing that he sounded horrible. he wished that he sounded normal for once, but his body couldn't seem to muster the strength for that. as kydobi went on to explain that things had changed, he felt his heart speed up. more children, now? "is jervis gone?" he asked quickly, growling softly as his voice once again cracked.

[OOC: it’s alright! Haha I usually write my posts around 2-3am ]

His face sort of blanked when Draekon mentioned living here before. A million questions would surface suddenly. Why did you leave? What are your morals? Why do you want to come back?

How come he couldn’t recall this man? Were they here during his little isolation period?

And then they mentioned Jervis and Kydobi knew very well that he should’ve came across them.

Kydobi leaned his neck forward and stretched it, swallowing before speaking, “Jervis is dead and the old violent ways died with him. I’m the Ardent now.”

So he was an old head perhaps. This probably meant Kydobi needed to clarify more, “I’ve had a lot of changes. First off, slavery is over and illegal. I don’t condone any form of it and I will punish any who disobey this.”
