The waves crashed. The seagulls squawked. The storm clouds above grew grey. Thunderous lightning strikes reigned down upon the beaches of The Typhoon. With every violent quake, the sand shook beneath and brushed up against the paws of the possessed feline. He walked in the rain, eyes set on a sight in the distance. The Anchored Tempest. Home to his mother. With orange eyes narrowed and paws beginning to transition onto the wooden dock below, Alexandre's head swiveled around in search of anyone present. No one. Not a soul. Claws scratched at the boards below. Sojourn's soul led his body forward onto the boat as he dragged his sharp claws across the ship's floor. Head low and teeth bared, he opened his mouth. Scents flooded his system, noticing one of their targets. Sickly sweet and lined with the smell of his siblings, Roxanne's presence became aware to Alexandre as he sauntered across the boat. He momentarily paused, looking up at the ship's golden figurehead. A Kraken. It glittered with the sun and stood out among the rest of the boat. Wild and 'free' as Sojourn implied. Despite his internal agony, the boy noted the golden sheen's appeal for later and continued forward.
Careful, concise paws meandered down the stairs. His eyes snapped downwards towards the entrance to the captain's quarters below deck. Alexandre's soul fought against Sojourn's soul, causing his body to stop promptly. Frozen paws twitched in frustration. Claws flexed. Sojourn's temptations echoed throughout his mind, causing his grip to slowly fade. He kept holding on though. "You know what she did to you," Sojourn's voice cooed. "Let go." Alexandre's thoughts revolted, but subconsciously he was aware of his deeper feelings. Sojourn knew of it too... That would be his downfall. "Freedom of judgement is what you want, isn't it?"
The feline's agitated state caused his body to snap back into Sojourn's control. He gave up. The truth was inevitable. With a crack of their neck, the paired soul drifted through the doorframe. "Madre?" came a bittersweet meow. Pointed ears perked upwards. A thin tail fluttered upwards curiously, awaiting a response. Sojourn's imitation of his manners were no doubt perfect, leading to a perfect façade.
