THIS THREAD WILL BE UPDATED EVERY WEEK WITH THE STAGES OF THE CURRENT HEATWAVE/DROUGHT PLOT SO BE SURE TO CHECK BACK IN EVERY NOW AND THEN! : )
WEEK 1 — There is a noticeable heat in the air. But nothing really to worry about. The swamp with its various water sources and shade keeps everyone happy. Things are normal and the prey is running very well currently. The flowers are blooming and the bugs are busy being small nuisances and buzzing in other animal's ears.. Tanglewood is prosperous with little to worry about.
WEEK 2 — Huh? Seems like the heat hasn't gone away. In fact, there has been no break from it and the temperature has risen. All that live within it can feel it now, the heat upon their backs. It's almost baking and to get away from much of the heat most Tanglers are staying indoors. Though no one is really that worried but perhaps they should be. The heat from the sun is starting to dry out fragile plant life that can't get the water they need. Even some prey life has stopped coming out during the day to wait out the setting of the sun.
WEEK 3 — Things are starting to look bad. Really bad. The heat has dried out a lot of plant life as things go on. The ground is dusty from the lack of moisture. Everything is crumbling and turning brown now. The water levels in the swamp are slowly draining, water levels are getting low, and as the water goes so too does the prey. It is getting harder and harder to hunt them. Harder to find anything to eat. Being in the heat is so exhausting. The thirst is starting to get to some. Fire warning! Fire warning!
WEEK 4 — It's bad. Really bad. With there still being no signs of rain everything has hit an all time low. The swamp and all other water sources have officially dried up, leaving nothing but a sodden mass of algae and slim. Prey has moved on to try and actually survive in a place not trying to kill them. There is nothing. Is this the end? Everything is shriveled and fragile, the days are looking very much grim as Tanglewood tries to stretch what supplies they managed to collect before things got this bad. With no healer everyone is struggling to keep going.
