TRY TO TAKE ME DOWN
BAALAL -- NONBINARY -- THE FROSTBLOWN -- SAGE -- MEDIUM DIFFICULTY
harsh and bitter the cruel winds beginning to blow on low, sweeping with them the promises of winter and strife. eyes closed against the sharp wind throwing ice and snow their way, would the zheng leave their hut for the icy floors of the camp. down below, they would stretch and yawn, shaking sleepiness from their legs, eyes narrowed at the rays of the sun, judging how much time they would have before the blizzard set in. calling back up towards their hut, so shortly left from the meeting's dismissal, "all able-bodied and willing members, join me in the last hunt before the blizzard!" turning their attention back to the sky, they watched the ravens wheeling overhead, spine tingling at a cold spell climbing their spine. the more paws in action, the better chance of finding some prey, that fact they knew better than anyone else. chills racing through their pads, they huffed, "bring with you a pelt or cloak - the blizzard may hit as we are returning", they would call in addition, listening to the sounds of the ravens far above calling and croaking.
the cold was setting in - they were into the second part of the winter, the snows wouldn't begin to melt until around march, and they weren't looking forward to the cold snaps, not what with the glaciers still so close to camp as they had been since the ice ages. exhaling heavily, they shook their body out, kneading the ground beneath them out of the desire to get this going and finished. "hunt in teams, i don't want anyone going solo in case the snows come before we can get home. we'll do a role call when we return.", they would announce once the others had come to gather around.
