Caesar took in a deep breath as he neared the strange island that was home to the inhabitants of a group known as The Typhoon. He had heard rumors of a hostile group living here, and they honestly didn't seem all that bad. No, it seemed exactly the place where he wanted to live. Being out on your own was hard, and given that Caesar was quite lazy sometimes, he decided it would be best to seek out a group to join to do his deeds for him, such as fetch him prey. Shouldn't be that hard, right? That's what he believed, anyway.

The feline stopped at the border, not wanting to anger the creatures living here. He wanted to respect their boundaries at first, show that he was somebody they absolutely needed to have. If he showed respect, than surely there was no reason for him to be sent away? So Caesar waited at the border now, his tail calmly wrapped around his paws.

The Typhoon may not have seemed hostile to someone who was accustomed to that style of life, as Lil was when she joined. Being a former serial killer she was no stranger to the harsher sides of life, but she certainly didn't present that way. She was soft spoken and reserved, and most people saw her as foreign to danger. She was no stranger to it, but willfully walked away from that path of life, and now tended to fight only when necessary. Lil knew the Typhoon was a more warbound clan, but she still felt as if she was a better fit here than she would be in a more peaceful clan. If someone found out her past in a pacifistic clan, she would suddenly become an outlier, but here she would simply be accepted. Of course she didn't want her past life to find her here, either, but she knew she wouldn't be looked down upon if it came to the surface.

Lil's harsh lifestyle was an odd juxtaposition to what she tended to pursue in her free time; the studying and application of medicine. She'd loved it for as long as she could remember, which she knew was a trait from her past life. Healing seemed to follow her wherever she went, and she still adored it even in her feline form. She found herself gathering herbs more often than she relaxed in camp, which made her able to find anyone waiting on the border relatively quickly.
"Name and business, please." Lilyspoise said, approaching the other. It was quick and to the point because of her wariness of strangers. If he proved to be here on friendly terms, then she would become warmer towards the other. It was a simple defense mechanism, that was all.

As soon as Lilyspoise came into sight, Caesar immediately rose to his paws and dipped his head. You only have to keep this act up for a little while. The dream demon told himself, one ear flicking as Lil spoke to him. "Caesar Cipher." He responded calmly, tilting his head just a little. "I wish to join."

Admittedly, Lil was a touch surprised at the formality of Caeser's greeting, and for a moment she was visibly perplexed. However, she was quick to shift more towards a softer, semi-warm expression.
"You're good to go, then. This is the Typhoon, in case you didn't know, and I'm Lilyspoise. I'm not a high position or anything, but if you have any questions you're still free to come to me." The tabby said, smiling softly. Maybe the formality was born from some sort of nervousness? She'd seen that in people before, and she experienced it herself to some extent, so she hoped that she could ease some potential anxieties, if there were any.

Interesting, she thought as she trotted forward to stand at Lilyspoise's side. It felt somehow natural despite this being her first welcoming committee act. She threw away the thought with a flick of her ear.

"Beatrice," the she-dog barked, falling into a sitting position. She narrowed her eyes slightly at Caesar, for there was something not quite right with this one. Beatrice herself was not of good alignment, so she couldn't help but wonder if this creature - and every other creature - was the same as she. "Best to not let your guard down," she could hear the beast saying to her - or maybe that was just her own intuition. It was getting hard to tell these days.

It wasn't nervousness per say that made Caesar talk so formally; it was more so him wanting to gain respect immediately. Luckily for Lil, though, the demon didn't quite notice the look of surprise on her face. As she mentioned that he was accepted, Caesar's face lit up. He dipped his head with a smile. "Thanks." He chirped. "I'll keep that noted." High positions, huh? That was interesting. That meant they had some sort of hierarchy here. Good, that meant he could possibly control these pathetic creatures.

Just as he spoke, another member of the Typhoon approached and sat at Lilyspoise's side. The canine introduced herself as Beatrice. "A pleasure to meet you, as well." Caesar said with another slight dip of his head.
