TELL HIM THE NIGHTMARES HAVEN'T STOPPED
tell him i'm not sure what is real and what is not
I don't often leave my territory. There are specific reasons why I just don't do that, so why I've done it today of all days is beyond me. Wouldn't it be suspicious that I leave for the first time in like, a while, after a new leader steps up..? Oh well. Not my business, not my problem- not anymore. Back in Zephyr it had been different, for starters I'd been the leader, but that's not the case as of right now and I'm not in any particular rush for it to happen again, either.
That said, I should probably avoid appearing even slightly suspicious, since I tend to stick to myself anyway. Surely a little wander shouldn't matter, though? Just to clear my head of the tensions from the meeting.
I'm not sure where I am right now anyway. I do know I can get back fairly easily, just follow my own distinct scent- albeit that would be easier if my senses were as powerful as they had been in my previous tundra wolf body, now I just inhabit the body of a random feline that had been wandering through Zephyr's territory the day I'd died. His voice rang in my head constantly, an annoyance most of the time- he had been silent, till now, when he seemed to whisper the presence of another.
I was immediately on alert. I hadn't noticed anyone previously, however as the wind blew toward me the scent of another, unfamiliar person wafted under my nose. My body tensed, shoulders squared and chest puffed in an attempt to make myself larger. "Who goes there?" I called, voice as steady as it could possibly be in unfamiliar lands with an unfamiliar presence lurking in the shadows. I just hoped they were friendly.
