A small whimper left Seakit as he limped across the beach, one paw held up against his chest as he went. The fur around the paw was worn away, th skin red and raw. The cub had been playing the ocean, swimming in the waves that threatened to shove him back to shore. As he swam a piece of plastic had brushed against his paw, startling him. In his panic he had began to thrash, the plastic catching as his head pushed beneath the water.

The current grabbed him, pulling him under and tumbling him, shoving him to the shore. When he finally came stumbling to the beach, he saw the plastic had wrapped itself tightly around his leg. After a long period of gnawing at it, the cub had managed to get rid of the plastic. In its wake it left the skin red and raw, fur worn off and missing in patches.

He took a few limping steps before plopping down with a huff, wincing as sand gritted against his wounds. He had tried to wash it off in the ocean but the salt water had stung, bringing tears to his eyes.

He didn't really like the sand. It got up in his fur and in his legs, made em' chafe and all that. Additionally, his metal legs had a tendency to dig right into the sand, throwing it everywhere. So if he was found somewhere along the shore, where the sand was more compact and easier to run on.

So he's doing his daily run when he spots the boy, coming to a jog then eventual stop, looming over the boy. Fuck, uh- "Hey, you don't look so good. What's your name again?" He looks down at the wound, tilting his head and chuckling. "Want me to take that for you, amigo?"
