indie had moved with the crowd of tanglers as they traveled outside of the territory, wrapping her pink shawl around her face and neck to keep the cold winds from biting her too harshly. initially she had come to see if the action would lure her target out of his cave, keeping an eye out for him. it wouldn't exactly be too hard to keep a low profile when there would be such a large group of animals coming together. she would have to file through each and every one of them three times over just to confirm he wasn't here...
when they reached to a stop, some mingling with the others that had already arrived, her gaze suddenly focused on the voice that called for their attention. it dropped momentarily to the basket of colors, but for the most part focused on the captain.
you will not be forming any more romantic interests. she told herself harshly, feeling a strong pang in her chest. she would not be turned down, rejected, or barking up the wrong tree again. she would simply admire from afar this time around, keeping her thoughts to herself.
she looked over the pieces of clothing idly, watching several others just take the closest thing to them then return to their practice. she found it better to look for the strange shepherd from the basket, though, waiting to see just who wasn't clothed if he didn't approach. if he did, she would see him.
the crowd eventually died down to a few, before they too left. the dogs face hadn't shown up. ugh. she wasted her time by being here, and she couldn't even leave until they were all done. she could be back there looking for him!
the caracal sighed, sitting down with a huff as she toyed with a piece of cloth in her paws, tying and untying knots as she sulked.
