I HEARD, I HEARD ACROSS A MOONLIT SEA
    THE OLD VOICE WARNING ME
    ϟ GOLDENLUXURY "GOLDIE" ROUX ϟ
    noun
ϟ the clash between the eye and the raging storms. ϟ the healing warmth of the sun and the raw brutality of the seas. ϟ the self-fulfilling prophecy and the stolen future. ϟ
    "I AM GOLDENLUXURY ROUX."
BEWARE, BEWARE THE DAUGHTER OF THE SEA
    BEWARE, BEWARE OF ME.

To say she was angry would be an understatement. The tiger's paws flickered with electricity sparking off of them between each step. A temptation to simply scream out the female's name in the burnt territory was beginning to overwhelm her, not wishing to waste any time. But, no, that would potentially lead to even more time being wasted. Though, to be fair, she wouldn't really give a fuck if she killed any Pittian. She didn't want to waste energy on them just yet, though. The tiger huffed silently as she looked through the still smoking trees and blowing ash in the distance. She pushes through it, feeling the dirty ground turn to the sand she despised so much. It wasn't like her beach's sand. It was foreign and dry and disgusting. All of it made her sick to her stomach. Her cold eyes traveled along her surroundings, feathered ears pinned downward. Her mouth formed a repulsed frown as she moved quickly along. Where is the white beast?

Folks came and went - she expected none of her crewmates to remain loyal for life to the Typhoon, if that is what they wanted. It wasn't her job to dictate them how they should live their lives and if they moved on for their own happiness, then good for them. However, there is a difference here. A very large difference. Moving onto a different group was one thing, even moving to their enemies was not the worst betrayal, however, joining forces not only with their greatest enemy but also a group of disgusting slave-bearing rats was past the line. Everything the Typhoon stood for went against the Pitt's own moralities, and this is why she cannot stand it. Their entire existence is unjustifiable, and the former slave would not allow them to continue their ways, much less sit idle as her former friend believes she is right to join them. She didn't give a flying fuck whether the female supported the idea of slavery or not - her, along with all of their voluntary members - were despicable and only contributed to the problem by supporting it. The captain let out a snarl, "Argus! She was running out of patience, for all of them.

Argus had been alive for too long to count, and in their life, they had outlived too many places. Living so long made life dull, pointless really; if not for the people - the animals that they connected to. CLans would sink and fall, people would fall and die along them, The family they held onto with tooth and claw, Luciferus becoming a father that they never had as a child, Pincher and his band of children something of a brother- his children her nieces and nephews. They never voiced it- not things like that were instinctual, something they didn't think needed to be said. How many had died until Lucifer came along to tell them they weren't the blame for Hecate's death? How many Children did they kill until Willow came to smile at her and call her mom? Too many, too many great horrible things Argus has done.

They were not good, no. They were raised in Sanguine Ruins, where prisoner's of war were no longer animals- just tools to further goals: prisoners for ransom, test subjects, amusement, venting, running away. Argus grew in a place so like the pitt that- coming here was only steps away from coming home. Even when the sanguine Ruins were nothing but a grave sight now. It was so close, it hurt; being in the desert ached in a way that they never knew was a wound until it started to heal.

Because who they were before- ( never innocent, but childish -stumbling with bloody paws and bright fever grins wanting to please someone - anyone ) is not who they are anymore, never again. ( the rage of their kid's death, the fire as they burned Riverlands down, the static inside their minds that never faded and only rose with their anger until- ) Argus was a watcher- they named themselves after a legend of a great beast who was apathetic to the world, who craved nothing and took nothing but stories from the lands. An apathetic god - A Shinigami with no preference for the living or dead and stuck inbetween-

Argus was not that. They were partial, they were living, breathing amalgamation of hurt emotions that only wanted to protect. Wanted revenge- wanted to burn the world for hurting her family, for continuing to hurt them.

What they needed, was an out. The pitt was where they stumbled to hurt and bleeding. Despite politics, despite all the Strife the Pitt gave them- their home - their family, they remained.

Home was something they hadn't had, in a long time. To return to something so akin to what they lost felt fitting. Only more so, when goldie came to find them there, hurt, and uncaring of anything but the implications of it- betrayal stringed in goldie's eyes, and argus felt some part of them retreat back with a snarl in their face.

    They just wanted peace.

They heard their name, being called out not their true name they didn't come closer, the lupine's head picked out from seemingly the sands itself. Red eyes watching the tiger pace closer and closer within the pitt, away from the jungle- away from home . They moved, stalking closer towards the captain- once child- once bright foolish little kid with such an open heart- open mind - but hate clouds that, hate clouds everything.

"Goldie The wolf manages, the pitch akin to a growl but neither negative nor positive in greeting: pensive. "... how is home? Did you talk to Lucifer?" Lucifer, the void-beast that knew the most about them- he would know, know enough to advise the child away from Argus, away from the pitt. If Argus was in it. Luciferus knew what it meant for them to be here, or maybe they didn't. Maybe Argus was truly alone.

    It wouldn't be the first.
