Link spent a lot of time in the kitchens, once he'd discovered them. Cooking was .. an important hobby to the canine. It was, undeniably, his. Not -- not something from a past Link, one he didn't know. And he liked it, too! .. To be honest, he'd manage to sell meals for quite a lot of rupees too, so he knows other people liked it, too.
Navigating the kitchens was a lot more difficult than he'd like, though. He was used to, say ... on the go types of gear. Campfires, whatever he can find in the area. The sudden transition was difficult, to say the least. He'd perfected the art of heating things on the fire just right, and the fact that the temperature could be so easily set was ... honestly, just a little bizarre. He'd burned quite a few dishes, but he had it now! And all it'd taken was a few sleepless nights. Not that Link really needed to sleep often at all in comparison to other people. He didn't know why, he just ... didn't. So he spends most of his time adventuring or cooking, only doubling back to the Ascendants when he felt like it. ... It was kind of strange, to be considered a member there. He hadn't expectedly signed up for it, but he doesn't mind.
It's dark in the kitchen as the sun rises. Link has only just step foot in the kitchen today, returned from his night adventure. He regards the room, doesn't bother to turn it on as he immediately moves to pull out pans or whatever else he may need. Not ingredients yet, though. .. He may be a little noisier than he should be, but that's fine. The place here is pretty expansive, after all.

Unlike with Link, cooking was not "theirs". Nothing they had a claim too. Their mother was the one to inspire them, actually.
Without their mother around, they had to learn how to bake. Because, their mother could not be around to make them the butterscotch cinnamon pies and chocolates they had come to adore. As such, they had decided to go in the kitchen. Suddenly, they heard noises. In a dark kitchen. Rolling their crimson luminaries, the child gets up and hits the lightswitch. What they saw, was the merle dog getting outs pots and pans.n Huffing, Krisriel asked, "Need any help?"

Link knew other people here liked to cook. His first interactions outside of when he was first initiated was when Clarence was cooking, after all. Even so, Link didn't expect to be interrupted. His ears prick with surprise as the light flickers up, and he blinks for a long few moments as his lights adjust. Then, at long last, he turns to regard the one who walked in -- Kris? Right, Kris. They were ... offering to help. Link considers this, tilts his head. Did he want help? He doesn't think so, but he wouldn't mind the company, either. There's something soothing about spending time with people, even to Link, who barely knows anything about said people.
So, Link lets out a chirpish yip and nods softly. He'd learned all on his own -- maybe learning how other people did it would help? It'd be an experience, at least. The blonde canine inclines his head towards where the ingredients were, yet to be pulled out, and makes a vague circle motion with his paw in an attempt to convey that they retrieve what they want. Link didn't have any specific recipe in mind when he was getting stuff out, anyways.
